Hello. My name is Fernanda, I am 33 years old, and I am originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I used to work as a teacher in Brazil. But I came here to the US in 2018, to study and work as well. Both my parents are teachers too. I have a degree in education and worked in the area for the past 11years(mostly with kindergarten and toddlers but I do have experience with older and younger kids). In the US, Ive been living in NYC for the past 3 years. Here, I worked as a live in nanny and took care of 2 kids(4,6yo). While in Miami (2[removed]), I took care of 3 kids. (4months, 9 months and 2 year old) - I can share all references!! I am patient, and nice w kids. I do not believe in time outs. For me, the best way to deal with kids is talking to them and make them understand what’s wrong and what we can do together to solve the problem and make things better. Also, I have experience with autistic kids, twins and triplets, new borns(bottle feeding, Sleep training, Change diapers and bath) and I used to give math private classes for 7-9yo I have a CPR certificate(in person2018/renewed online 2020) and I have an ESL course at Columbia University (NYC), along with a ADHD course from the university of NY. I like to do crafts, cooking and play board games with the kids, also spend time outside is my favorite! I think spending time with kids is always fun because every and each kid is different and we learn a lot of things together. In my free time I like to go to the park, the beach and, I also like watching movies. I have a dog and a cat and I love spending time with them - my dad is a biologist and so I was always around animals growing up!
