Charlotte $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Charlotte, and I'm an 18-year-old babysitter based in Weehawken, NJ. I hold CPR and Babysitting Certifications from the American Red Cross and have six years of hands-on experience with children of all ages — from newborns and toddlers to preteens up to age 11. I bring more than just childcare to the table. I'm happy to help with light cooking, cleaning, and keeping the home tidy while you're away. With nine years of martial arts training, I'm calm under pressure and fully capable of keeping every child in my care safe and protected. I love keeping kids active and engaged — whether that means a trip to the park, a fun activity, or just making the most of an afternoon at home. Whatever the day calls for, I show up ready. I'm a licensed driver, available all summer on weekdays and weekends, and open to relocating wherever I'm needed. I'd love to be a dependable, positive sitter for your family! (I attend Highschool from 8am-3pm till June 18th)

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Long Island City, NY

I have had the opportunity to care for children ranging in age from approximately 8 months to 7 years old. I have always distinguished myself as a very active individual—constantly establishing routines and fostering good habits to make the parents' job easier. I am currently learning English—a language I already understand—and with my previous employers, even though their native language was French, we maintained excellent communication. With the last child I cared for, I was with him from the age of 6 months until he was two and a half years old, at which point he started school. I taught him to crawl quickly, to speak, to identify sounds, and to walk; I personally prepared all his meals, from soft foods to solid foods; and I effortlessly instilled in him a love for vegetables and taught him to let us know when he needed to use the potty. It is clearly an example of a very young child who speaks, understands, and likes three languages: Spanish, English, and French.

Meaghan $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Quinn (Meaghan is my legal name which you have to use to register). I'm a native New Yorker with over 10 years of experience working with children. I live in Brooklyn with my dog, Bagel. I've spent the last 2 years as a substitute teacher at 3 different schools & as an occasional babysitter. Previously, I worked as a Kindergarten teacher at Grace Church before ultimately deciding that, though I love working with kids, I did not want to pursue teaching as a career. I also spent 3 yrs at St. Luke's where I developed and taught my own afterschool classes. In my experience babysitting, I've worked for families with 1-3 kids, ages 1-13. I have extensive experience working with kids with learning disabilities/differences (autism, dyslexia, ADHD) as well as a range of different emotional/behavioral needs. Ideally looking for at least 20hrs/wk. I can guarantee a year's commitment, and likely would be able to stay on longer.

Glendys $22 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Glendys — I’m a first-year college student majoring in Nursing and Health Science. I’m passionate about working with kids and have always loved the energy and creativity they bring. Babysitting gives me the chance to connect with families, build relationships, and make each day fun and positive for the kids I care for. I’ve worked as a camp counselor for two years with children ages 4–12, and I also help care for my 5-year-old autistic sister, which has taught me patience, understanding, and adaptability. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, reliable, and always make safety my top priority. I’d describe myself as fun, creative, and attentive — I love coming up with new activities, doing crafts, baking, and spending time outdoors. I know my way around the city, can drive (though I haven’t driven with kids yet), and I always aim to keep things organized and running smoothly. I’m currently based in NYC and looking forward to meeting new families in the area. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me — I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
