Hello, parents! My name is Sara. I am a nanny and early childhood educator with 20 years of experience in childcare, the past 16 years working as a full-time nanny for private families in NYC. I have worked with ages 2 months through 15 years and have significant experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and multiples including twins. I recently finished a 10-year long full-time, full charge nanny position with a wonderful family on the UWS. I’m currently available for occasional babysitting, backup care, and part-time nanny care. I’m located near Prospect Park in Brooklyn and able to travel anywhere in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens. Prior to becoming a career nanny, I studied music therapy at Berklee College of Music with an emphasis on early childhood development and child psychology. While working towards my degree, I taught in the two year old and three year old programs in a local preschool, and served as the music director at a Boston Gymboree. I am a huge believer in child-led play, respectful discipline, and nurturing children’s curiosity and imagination. If you have any questions, please feel free to message!

“Sara made us feel instantly comfortable leaving our baby daughter with a sitter for the first time. She was demonstrably experienced in how to handle a baby wary of strangers and could easily adapt to our family’s routine. She was easy to communicate with and we would be immediately ready to hire her again in the future.”

Hello parents, My name is Tiffany. I am a career nanny, former lead preschool teacher, and newborn care specialist with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I'm available any day of the week and I'm open to different shifts. I have over 15 years of professional experience. I'm certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. I am a fun, energetic, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, caring person who genuinely loves children. I have worked for dozens of families over the years, some were full time, part-time, overnights, or date nights/occasional positions. The children ages ranged from newborn to preteen. I also have experience with my lovely seven nieces and nephews who ranges from 3 years old through 23 years old. I have been in all of their lives since newborns. I am willing to do some light housework, laundry, run errands, and I am a great cook if needed. In my spare time I enjoy singing with my choir, taking walks, cooking and baking, arts & crafts, reading, traveling, swimming, and learning new things. I'm also a pet lover. I love being a part of children's learning and growing experiences. I am ready, willing, and able to take care of your child/children.

“Tiffany took care of our 3 month old for ~2 weeks. She demonstrated great knowledge and experience with infants especially during playtime (consistent tummy time, reading books, introducing colors and songs) and night time routines (giving baths, wiping down and changing into sleepwear). She is very responsive and communicative, giving us updates on how our daughter is doing and making sure to asks questions about our preferences and our baby’s schedule for the day. We highly recommend her for any family that is looking for a reliable and caring nanny!”

Hi families! I’m a sitter with many years of childcare experience and a background in behavioral therapy. I earned my degree from the University of San Francisco and spent two years working in behavioral therapy, supporting children with diverse needs. Originally from New York and raised in Los Angeles, I spent the past six years in Oregon before recently moving to New Jersey. I’m excited to connect with local families and offer reliable, compassionate care. I love helping kids learn, play, and grow. I’m looking for part-time or occasional babysitting opportunities while I get settled in the area.

Hi! I'm Shterna, and I'm 27 years old. I grew up in central Brooklyn in a big family of 11, with 28 nieces and nephews (ages 0-16) and over 100 first cousins. Being surrounded by kids my whole life, I naturally picked up childcare early on. *I will be graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology in July of 2027 (My classes are at 7:30 PM twice a week so my school schedule does not impede my daytime/full-time availability)* I started working with kids professionally in middle school as a babysitter and summer camp counselor. After finishing school in 2018, I primarily worked as a nanny (with a brief stint in corporate) and continue to nanny today. I have lots of experience with newborns, multiples, classrooms (of infants, toddlers, and junior high-school) long shifts, overnights and weekends, children who are unwell, working in two-parent households, and transporting kids around the city. I also have experience caring for dogs and cats, hold a driver’s license, and am vaccinated. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and Boggle player. I love putting on makeup, jump on any opportunity to hear live-music, and enjoy schmoozing with my friends and sisters. As a religious Jew, my weekend availability can be limited, but I’m happy to work around it when possible. I’m semi-fluent in Hebrew (and Yiddish) and enjoy sharing my culture with anyone interested! I look forward to hearing from you and am happy to answer any questions or provide additional information and references.

“Shterna is a confident, dependable caregiver. She has taken the time to understand our infant daughter's personality, moods, developmental stage, and individual needs, adapting her care accordingly. She actively supports our daughter's development through thoughtful interaction and age-appropriate activities. Since she began caring for our daughter, we have noticed her becoming more settled, engaged, and confident. Most importantly, our daughter has developed a strong bond with Shterna and is always happy to see her. We feel confident leaving our daughter in Shterna's care and highly recommend her to any family looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive babysitter.”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
