Hi, my name is Shumaila. I am currently working part-time as a babysitter and am open to long-term commitments. I am a mother of two and bring a warm, energetic, and caring approach to every family I work with, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. I have over 8 years of paid experience caring for children from infants to toddlers and can provide excellent references upon request. In addition to childcare, I am a certified chef and offer weekly meal prep services for families. I specialize in Pakistani and Indian cuisine but can confidently follow any recipe and accommodate dietary needs, including healthy, halal, vegetarian, or customized meal plans. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management & Logistics, which strengthens my organization, time management, and planning skills—helping me better support busy families. I hold a college degree and am fluent in English. I am also a ServSafe Food Protection Manager certified professional and Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certified by the American Red Cross. I take pride in supporting families not only with loving childcare but also by making their daily routines easier through nutritious, home-cooked meals.

Hello! My name is Rebecca. I have been working in NYC as a nanny/sitter since 2016. I've been a primary nanny and a regular pickup nanny as well as a date night sitter. I am currently working 32 hours a week with a six year old deaf autistic boy who lives on Wall Street, and he is about to head back to school. Once he's back he sadly won't need me, so I am looking for a new position. His parents asked that I note "we will absolutely recommend you as the best nanny to absolutely anyone." Ideally I’d like a part time role, though I’m also open to date night sitting. I'm currently living in Inwood. I regularly do one-time jobs for a wide variety of families, and have experience in newborns to teenagers. I've also worked with babies/children/teenagers with physical disabilities, severe food allergies, ADHD, Aspergers, autism, and those with lots of feelings. The parents I've worked for have had styles ranging from attachment parenting ("sprint to the baby the second she cries") to the REI method ("give the baby some time to self-settle before you go to her") to everything in between ("do whatever you want but for the love of god give her the blue bottle at lunchtime or she ll pitch a fit"). Before moving to New York five years ago, I was a nanny in Boston for a family who ran a daycare. My style is energetic, engaged, and optimistic - I genuinely love kids, and this is my preferred line of work for income. I find it fulfilling and a good personal fit. I'm active as a person and this carries over completely to my nanny work. My kids and I are always out at parks, museums, playgrounds, and making up imaginative games. One of my favorite compliments I've received is "oh thank god, Rebecca's here. I know she'll tire out the kids." Thanks much! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. If I'm not the right fit for your family, I wish you the best of luck in your search.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
