Hi! I am Maria. I am a mom to a 32-year old adult with autism. As a special ed teacher, I have worked with many children with special needs helping them with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, etc) behavioral and communication adaptations. I can take children to school or other appointments, as well as assist them with homework. I live on the Upper East side and am available to work twice a week. I am allergic to animals so I cannot work in households with pets. I do not speak Spanish. I consider myself to be an organized, compassionate, patient and trustworthy person. I prefer to work with seniors or no more than two kids aged 2 and above.

I’ve babysat for my niece since she was a newborn (she’s now 2!) and have lots of hands on experience with kids at home. Since moving to the city, I’ve also been dog sitting and am excited to start babysitting here. Along with childcare, I studied culinary abroad for a semester, so I can cook and bake to your heart’s desire. I’ve also worked as a tennis and pickleball coach, so I love getting kids moving and active. And when things wind down, I actually enjoy cleaning and organizing. I bring energy, creativity, and responsibility into everything I do and am looking for part time or occasional babysitting jobs.
