Hello- My name is Sandra. I'm a dedicated, multilingual, and caring babysitter/nanny with a healthcare background that loves to be around children. I am also a Certified Lactation Consultant, and passionate about making the breastfeeding experience as smooth and wonderful as possible for both the parents and the baby. I moved to the U.S., a couple of years ago, to acquire the appropriate licenses needed to further my studies in the Medical field and become a Pediatrician. Having said that, I have worked with many children in clinics and hospitals abroad before and after becoming a licensed general physician in South America. I also have worked as a babysitter for an infant and as a nanny for a family of multiple kids (4 kids in total) simultaneously in NYC, so I have a great idea of what it entails. I’m also a great cook, detail-oriented, organized, and a great planner. To name a few, those are some of the reasons I say your children would be in great hands.

She was amazing with our three boys! She was kind, patient, and engaging, and they had such a great time with her. We would happily recommend her to anyone!

$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 22 families in New York, NY

Hello! My name is Aoife (pronounced ee-fah). My day job is as a public defender, and I’m interested in occasional caregiving jobs. My paid experience working with children began at around age fourteen as a mother’s helper, but as the oldest of four children I’ve been helping with child care even a few years before that. I have 7 years of experience babysitting children ages 1 to 12 years and 3 years as a private tutor and a mentor to high school students. I’m responsible, fun, and passionate about theater and the arts.

Excellent and highly recommended. Handled our 3 children with ease and great care.

Making a difference, one child at a time. Whether I'm assisting with night feedings, sewing costumes for a play, or tutoring for the SAT, I know that spending quality time with children and teens are vital to their success and development. I am college-educated, an adventurer, attentive, patient and kind. My hobbies include art and craft projects, reading, archery and cooking.

Our kids instantly connected to Hannah and she was so thoughtful, bringing activities to do with the kids. We would absolutely hire her again!

Hi! I’m Schnell, a professional full-time nanny with extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers, including twins. I specialize in creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child’s development while maintaining a calm and organized household. I’m highly reliable, patient, and skilled at managing multiple children with ease, while keeping routines consistent and stress-free for both children and parents. I also assist with light household support such as meal prep and children’s laundry to help ensure your home runs smoothly. I’m currently seeking families who value attentive, high-quality care and a dependable, long-term presence. I’m also available for occasional evening and weekend babysitting.

Schnell was absolutely wonderful. This was our first time using UrbanSitter and Schnell arrived a few minutes early, was super communicative with us, and relaxed and gentle with our daughter. 10/10!

Booked by 97 families in New York, NY

Hi! My name is Akillah! I am a vocalist and artist. I've been in New York on and off for over 9 years. I was previously a Playdate Manager at Project Playdate and I have worked with dozens of families throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. If hired, there is sure to be plenty of exploring, and creating and there will definitely be lots and lots of singing. I am also very active and know the basics of most sports (I can and will keep up!). My goal as a sitter is to assist parents by providing a safe and loving environment for their children to give them peace of mind from day to day. I give priority to families who are tolerant and great communicators! I provide sliding-scale services based on needs on a case-by-case basis.

Great communication and my 7 month old baby seemed to really like Akillah!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
