Rosaria 2 reviews

Booked by 1 family in Ozone Park, NY

Hello! My name is Rosaria, and I’m currently a student at NYU studying Theater and Social Sciences. I’ve always loved working with kids and creating environments where they feel comfortable, safe, heard, and able to be themselves. I have experience working with children of many different ages through babysitting and as a camp counselor at a music summer camp, where I worked with campers ages 8–16. I led improv games, arts and crafts activities, music-based activities, and helped create a fun and welcoming environment for all campers. Working with children has also always been a part of my life because my mom has been a full-time nanny for over 30 years. Since I was 16, I’ve helped assist her with caring for children and babies of all ages (with permission from families), and through that experience, I learned how important patience, communication, attentiveness, and trust are when caring for kids. I love engaging kids through reading, imaginative play, sketching, LEGO builds, card games, crafts, and making stories feel interactive, creative, and fun. I cook and meal prep for myself often and genuinely love cooking and baking. I’d always be happy to prepare meals/snacks or even make cooking a fun activity with your child when appropriate! I also have experience cat-sitting and caring for pets, so I’m very comfortable in homes with animals as well.

Rosaria has watched our children (ages 5 and 8) several times, and we’ve always had a great experience. She’s reliable, communicative, and easy to work with. Our kids immediately connected with her and are always excited when she comes over. She does a great job keeping them engaged, whether they’re playing games, reading, or using their imaginations. We especially appreciate how present and attentive she is with them. It’s clear she genuinely enjoys working with children. We trust her completely and would happily recommend her to other families.

Isis

New York
$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Ozone Park, NY

Hi! My name is Isis, and I would love the opportunity to care for your little ones. My goal is to become more than just an occasional babysitter—I strive to be someone your family can rely on for planned care, date nights, last-minute emergencies, and everything in between. I have experience working at Tiny Toes Learning Center in Mount Pocono and Little Buds in Fort Greene, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for children in structured, nurturing environments. My responsibilities have included supervising groups of children, leading engaging activities, reading with them, encouraging outdoor play, and creating a fun, safe atmosphere until pickup. I’m experienced in maintaining daily routines, including preparing meals and snacks, supporting nap and bedtime routines, assisting with potty training, helping with homework, and keeping children engaged through age-appropriate activities rather than relying on screens. I love planning creative activities, reading stories, exploring parks, and, with parent approval, taking children on enriching outings like museums and other educational adventures. You can count on me to be dependable, patient, and communicative. I understand the trust it takes to leave your child with someone, so I prioritize safety, consistency, and open communication, keeping you updated throughout my time with your little ones

Kamila 1 review
New York
$28 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Ozone Park, NY

Hello everyone! My name is Kamila and I have been living in NYC for a little over 6 years. I moved here after going to music school in Boston. I’m a singing songwriter and work within arts administration/operations. Since moving to the city, I have worked with children ages 3 to 11, and I’ve learned so much. I enjoy fostering a sense of creativity and playfulness in the kids I get to hang with, and I’ve also taught beginner piano lessons for families around NYC and Brooklyn. I also have been petsitting/housesitting for doggies and kitties on the east and west coasts of the US and abroad over the last 3-4 years. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your family :)

Without hesitation, if you are looking for someone to care for your child/children…look no further! Kamila’s kindhearted and creative sensibilities allow her to engage with children at their level while still ensuring structure when needed. Our 5 year old son always looked forward to having her care for him. Kamila would respond promptly to my texts/calls while caring for him and would also send pictures of their day together. Kamila was very accommodating in many ways, from last minute care requests, to caring for him in untraditional locations (like in a recreation complex), to even helping support our family while moving. She consistently arrived to work on time and never called out last minute. (In fact, I’m not sure she ever called out!) Even though we only had Kamila with our family for a few months before she moved, she quickly became a delightful addition to our family. She would be the same for you.....enjoy!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Ozone Park, NY

Let me introduce myself- I’m monica. I I was born in Colombia, South American, As a child I was adopted and raised in New York City by my mother who was a public school teacher for 36 years before retiring from the NYC Board of Education. I married at a young age and now have an amazing eighteen year old daughter, who is a freshman at college in Michigan. Throughout my daughter’s childhood I was fortune enough to be a full time mother, and so I devoted myself completely to her. I am eternally grateful for my role as her mother. When she was a child, she sang, with the children’s Chorus of New York Metropolitan Opera. Rehearsal, auditions, and picking her up from school took up most of my time. There were many trips to the park, theater performances, dancing classes, and other varied experiences. I have listed these so you will feel assured that I will do these or other activities to enrich the lives of your children. Having been a mother for many years, I feel more than capable of providing care to your child(ren). I love animals and have one on my own. (Pug, Penny)

Monica was awesome. She bonded with my twins right away.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
