I’m an experienced nanny with several years of childcare experience in Brazil and the U.S., caring for children from infants to school-age. I have a background in Psychology, which has helped me better understand child development, emotional needs, communication, and positive guidance. I’ve also volunteered with children with special needs, which taught me even more patience, empathy, and how to adapt to each child’s individual needs. I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am currently working with a family of 4 boys, ages 6 years to 6 months. I am looking for other temporary jobs while they are out of town for the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include taking and picking up kids from school, taking them to their various activities and extra curricular activities, cooking and meal time, and getting ready for bed, along with general care taking, playing, and supervision. I enjoy meeting kids where they are at, engaging in their interests and joys, and creating a space where they can feel safe and cared for. I am currently a graduate student studying social work at Fordham University where I’m learning how to support children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways.
