My name is Tania. I have so much energy and will become your babies best friend. I’ve always loved working with kids, animals, anything artsy, creative and Early Childhood Development. I have been a nanny for the Upper East Side, Brooklyn and Queens. I am thirty years old and I posses nearly twenty years’ progressive experience caring for children of all ages. I know I can help your child exceed in their education and character. I love being able to help children learn and grow to their full potential. Pets are okay! I like to ask parents if they'd like a quick update while they're out. Sending a quick message and picture to let them know that everything is going well has been part of what's helped me create lasting relationships with so many families. I am organized and thorough, I have a calm and patient manner and I understand the dangers around children and what they should not be doing. I have worked with kids witch have the softest of voices. As well as kids with the biggest of smiles and loudest of voices. I have gained a solid experience caring for children of all ages in a broad variety of stimulating activities. Nannies create an impact that is unforgettable.

Tania has been working with our family full-time for almost a year, and I feel incredibly lucky that we found her. As a new parent, I was worried about leaving my son and going back to work. Tania seamlessly fit into our family and made the transition more comfortable. Our son adores spending time with her. Even when he had a bit of separation anxiety, the sight of Tania would make him ready to bid us goodbye for the day! Tania is a strong communicator. She ensures that we are updated with cute photos throughout the day. If there are ever any questions or concerns (on our part or Tania's), we promptly address them together. Tania regularly asks about our parenting approach as new things come up and strives to reinforce it. It feels like we are a team. Tania's energy is unmatched. She is always willing to come early and stay late, even at the last minute. Tania keeps things educational and interesting while giving our son space to safely explore. She respects his likes/dislikes.

Booked by 2 families in Woodhaven, NY

Hey everybody! Im Rose! Recently just moved back to New York after having lived in Chicago. I'm currently studying for my masters in social work at Hunter. I have had around 7 years of experience babysitting, and I also have a two year old niece who I've taken care of a lot. I have also spent two years working as a paraprofessional in a high school and then a third grade classroom, working with students with disabilities. I provided behavioral, academic and emotional support to my students and also assisted with classroom management. I have had experience with children from all different ages and backgrounds, and I approach each child as an individual and cater to them in whichever unique way is beneficial to them. I love working with children and embracing their curiosity and individuality. I’m playful, patient, and passionate about creating a nurturing environment that supports children’s development, wellbeing, and confidence. I speak some Spanish as well, because I took a gap year traveling in Latin America. I'd love to meet you, and get to know your children! :)

$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 23 families in Woodhaven, NY

Hello! My name is Rebecca. I have been working in NYC as a nanny/sitter since 2016. I've been a primary nanny and a regular pickup nanny as well as a date night sitter. I am currently working 32 hours a week with a six year old deaf autistic boy who lives on Wall Street, and he is about to head back to school. Once he's back he sadly won't need me, so I am looking for a new position. His parents asked that I note "we will absolutely recommend you as the best nanny to absolutely anyone." Ideally I’d like a part time role, though I’m also open to date night sitting. I'm currently living in Inwood. I regularly do one-time jobs for a wide variety of families, and have experience in newborns to teenagers. I've also worked with babies/children/teenagers with physical disabilities, severe food allergies, ADHD, Aspergers, autism, and those with lots of feelings. The parents I've worked for have had styles ranging from attachment parenting ("sprint to the baby the second she cries") to the REI method ("give the baby some time to self-settle before you go to her") to everything in between ("do whatever you want but for the love of god give her the blue bottle at lunchtime or she ll pitch a fit"). Before moving to New York five years ago, I was a nanny in Boston for a family who ran a daycare. My style is energetic, engaged, and optimistic - I genuinely love kids, and this is my preferred line of work for income. I find it fulfilling and a good personal fit. I'm active as a person and this carries over completely to my nanny work. My kids and I are always out at parks, museums, playgrounds, and making up imaginative games. One of my favorite compliments I've received is "oh thank god, Rebecca's here. I know she'll tire out the kids." Thanks much! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. If I'm not the right fit for your family, I wish you the best of luck in your search.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 8 families in Woodhaven, NY

I have been in child care for 13 years I worked for an on-call babysitting service where I was a loved/preferred sitter for 47 families. I have a driver’s license, full background search and excellent references. I have been with my current family for 2 years. The child is getting ready to start school so I am looking for a new full-time or 2 part-time families to work with. My daily responsibilities are getting the him ready, taking him to different activities, feeding him lunch, nap and then indoor playing, reading and painting. While he naps I prep bottles and food, do his laundry and tidy up. I also work with 4 other families for nights and weekends, as needed.

Kristy has been a caretaker for me for almost two years. I found her through a friend's recommendation rather than through UrbSit. Since I'm a working single mom, she's worked for me 5 days a week, and occasionally done overnights and even travel sitting. She is amazing. Reliable, punctual, an incredibly hard worker, and it's clear she genuinely cares about my son. I trust her with him as much as I trust myself. It's a shame I won't be able to keep her 5 days/week, but I'm happy to be a reference for anyone else who wants to hire her. You should hire her! She's gold.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
