Booked by 1 family in Alvadore, OR

Hi! Im Janessa :) I just moved back home to Eugene, Oregon, from Los Angeles. I’m very excited to connect with families in the area. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 and would be happy to share references from families I’ve worked with. I also have 2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, where I supported children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. With that, I’m patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to different needs. I’m reliable, caring, and love creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for kids. I’d love to help your family out!

Eugene
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 19 families in Alvadore, OR

Hi there, I am moving to the Eugene area in September to get my Masters in Couples and Family Therapy at U of O! I am going to be in school full time, but the way my schedule works out, I am only in class on Mondays and Wednesdays. I would love to find a family I can work with and build that strong bond with that I’ve had the privilege of building in the past! I have babysat for a few families routinely for about 9 years, and I also worked as an escape room operator where I mostly worked kids groups. During the summer of 2020 I worked with two families as a full time nanny. I also worked with a pod of three families during the winter of 2020. In summer 2021 I worked with 4 families on a regular basis, all with kids of different ages. I am a certified lifeguard, meaning I am red cross certified in first aid and CPR. Since finishing undergrad, I moved to Nashville and have been working in a corporate work from home setting for the past 3 years. I am a very energetic person, I will always keep your kids as entertained as they would like to be. And if you would like me to, I am always more than happy to get their creative juices flowing! I am very comfortable cooking and cleaning, so any of those duties you may need me to take on, I am more than happy to! I also have my own car, so I can do any carpooling or pick ups that you may need. I hope to hear from you soon! Please reach out if you are interested.

Hannah Eugene
$18 per hour for 1 child

My name is Hannah, and I’m a dedicated, compassionate caregiver with strong experience working with children and pets and providing household support. I’ve spent several years helping families create safe, nurturing environments where kids can thrive and parents feel at ease. I’ve cared for children of all ages, from infants to preteens, supporting their daily routines, educational development, and emotional needs. Whether it's playtime, homework help, or bedtime routines, I approach every task with patience, creativity, and consistency. In addition to childcare, I’m also comfortable and experienced with pets. I’ve provided care for dogs and cats, including walking, feeding, play, and basic grooming. Animals respond well to my calm and friendly nature, and I love including them in the daily rhythm of the home. I’m dependable and organized around the house. I can assist with light cleaning, laundry, meal prep, and keeping things running smoothly. I know how important it is to maintain a tidy, stress-free space for kids and parents. People often describe me as nurturing, dependable, and attentive. I take pride in building trust with families and creating a positive, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels respected and cared for.

I am a college student at UO studying political science and legal studies. I love writing, reading, going on walks, doing art (painting and ceramics), and watching movies! I have been babysitting a few families back home (Santa Cruz, California) consistently, with the longest time with a family being 4 years. I am able to cook, clean, do laundry, bath time, change diapers, and am open to any other household duties. I am comfortable with any pets, and am able to feed and walk pets. I also have some experience both house and pet sitting.

Adela Eugene
$18 per hour for 1 child

In the past I have provided full-time summer care and part-time support during the school year for two children aged 1 and 5 until their family relocated. I managed all aspects of childcare, from changing diapers and tidying up to ensuring they had structured nap times and engaging in enriching art projects. I also briefly babysat one of the children when they were six months old. I also occasionally babysat a 7, 11 and 12 year old every couple weeks for a few hours. During this time me and the children would plan fun activities such as baking cookies and art as well as playing outside and reading. I was in charge of making their dinners which were coordinated with the parents and would get them ready for bed and put to sleep. During the summer I worked as a summer camp counselor at the YMCA for ages pre-k to 8th grade. During this time I would coordinate day plans with my Lead and assist in activities. Some of the camps I worked in were basketball, soccer, science, football, and cooking. My job included keeping the kids engaged, doing head counts, leading activities, ensuring campers safety, and coming up with quick solutions when plans were altered last minute. I also worked as an after school teacher for pre-k and elementary school children. During this time I organize snack and activity plans with coworkers as well as leading lesson plans. I would also keep head count, oversee playground time, follow our daily schedules, help with homework, and keep the children engaged.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
