Hi, I’m a 42 year old female Portland native born and raised in Sellwood. I’m married I have my degree in massage and healing arts. My husband and I have a 18 year old daughter and have two amazing cats. I currently live in multnomah village, and absolutely love living in Portland. I have over 17 years experience working with children ranging from newborn to 12 years of age. I’ve always loved working with kids since I was a teenager my self. I’m a very active person. I especially enjoy being outside, hiking gardening, cooking and reading, art and museums. I’m very passionate about the outdoors and love creating space for the little ones that I watch to explore and go on new adventures. I am CPR trained as well as first aid and a certified preschool teachers assistant. I’ve nannied for many families throughout the years and have plenty of references to provide. I like to think I’m a creative thinker, great problem, solver multitasker and able to teach while having fun. I also have experience with working with the elderly and have been trained in that as well. I’m very much a people person and have an outgoing personality. The reason I enjoy working with children so much is that I believe it brings me as much joy as it does them. I feel it to be a very gratifying job. I think you really have to like what you’re doing to be good at something. Looking forward to meeting your families and their little ones.

Trisha was great with my son.

I’ve taken several child development classes and worked as a summer camp counselor for kids ages 4–12. As the oldest sister, I’ve also had a lot of hands-on experience helping care for my younger siblings when they were toddlers. I previously worked as a DSP in a youth residential program as well. I was majoring in Art & Design at PSU and am currently taking a break from school. I love going on little adventures with the kids and have arts & crafts activities!

Hi my name is Sam (they/them/ any pronouns) and I bring over five years of hands-on childcare experience and a truly heartfelt approach to the families I support. I have worked as a live-in nanny, assistant teacher, and even a lice technician, giving myself a well-rounded, practical skill set and a calm confidence in a variety of situations. In addition to childcare. I currently work part-time as a hairstylist while continuing their passion for nannying. I have experience supporting both adults and children with disabilities and neurodivergent needs. As someone who is neurodivergent myself , I bring deep empathy, understanding, and patience into their work. Families often appreciate my naturally calm presence, gentle demeanor, and their ability to create a safe, steady environment for children to thrive. Sam has cared for children ranging from 3-month-old infants to 13-year-olds and genuinely loves engaging with kids at every stage. Sam is creative, enjoys imaginative and pretend play, and meets children where they are — honoring their personalities, emotions, and developmental needs along the way. Clear, open communication is very important to me. I value honesty and collaboration with families and believes strong partnerships are built through trust and transparency. Above all, I truly love working with children and building meaningful, lasting connections with the families they support. I would be delighted to connect and answer any questions you may have.

Sam sat my two dogs (14 week old puppy and an 8 year old). Sam listened well when I was giving instructions about my care preferences. Sam took them for a walk and was attentive to their needs for the time Sam was taking care of them. I will definitely work with Sam again!

Hi there! I have a bachelors in both English and Social Justice from Dominican University of California, and am currently a JD Candidate at Lewis &Clark Law School. I grew up watching my siblings before moving on to paid jobs with family friends and cousins, and when I started college I started nannying more seriously. When I lived in LA, I worked with several different families for small weekly jobs and worked with one family four to five days a week, taking their four kids to numerous activities and after school events. Since moving to Portland two years ago, I spent the last year and a half nannying for a family with 10 year old twins. I have experience working with infants up to 12 years old, and after tutoring high school kids I’m sure I could handle teenagers as well. Let me know if I can answer any questions, I can’t wait to work with you!

Kids loved her. My older son said he wanted her to babysit for “30 weeks”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
