Find nannies in Bainbridge Island, WA

I’m a 23 year old Communication major from CU Boulder, originally from Centennial. I worked as a part time after-school aid in high school for ages 3-6, and then was a full time any for two summers for 3 awesome kiddos. I’m looking for a full time nannying position or weekly help, preferably in the Queen Anne or Belltown area.

I am a professional nanny living in Belltown but am willing to to travel around the metro area to care for children. During my days I am constantly taking kids to parks, gyms and community centers, play zones and walks: We read books, do art, sing songs and discover fun throngs kids love. I’ve taken children to the Ferris wheel, zoo, museums, the aquarium, Seattle City center and more. My background is completely different as I was in a high level stressful career and chose nannying and caregiving to change my life. I am CPR certified and first aid certified. In my past life I was a qualified OSHA trainer so I have a high focus on safety. During naps I am willing to cook, clean and handle pet needs. Would love to find a couple of families I could connect with and provide care nights and weekends! Enjoy all ages and will cater to their needs! I have always had a passion for working with and taking care of children. I am the baby in my family, but it was my biggest joy being able to watch after my 5 younger cousins growing up. I think that is what sparked my interest. I was a youth counselor one summer in grade school, my first job I worked as a tutor for Kumon Learning Center, tutored a family friend's son for over a year, worked as an assistant for special needs children and adults. The start of covid I worked for College, Nannies, & Sitters, and at a preschool with children ages 1-5. During covid I moved to Cle Elum and nannied for a family of 4. When I moved back I worked for another preschool/daycare. I am extremely positive and patient, I am also very attentive and professional. I put the children's needs first, and love to build friendships that leave a lasting impact. I am a great listener and I love to interact. I will teach your children how to be responsible and polite, yet still be their silly, creative selves.

My experience working with young people is mostly across two different fields. I have experience with foster care and homelessness when I was younger and from the age of 16 to current day (although I do it less now) I have worked with young people experiencing foster care providing trainings, education, and public speaking opportunities pertaining to policy and legislative advocacy. I also over the years have combined about 5-6 years of experience working with young people in environments such as schools, boys and girls club, various day camps, and babysitting for my auntie. I love working with kiddos, and am more than capable of working with groups of them as well as taking care of them one on one. I think of myself as a fun and funny guy. I think there's just as much to learn from children as there is to teach them. I am confident in my ability to provide a safe and fun environment for whomever I'm working with. I also have recent a full background check for a previotjob I had working with young people in foster care before I moved to Seattle that I'd be happy to provide.

Hello, I am a retired social worker, who has experience raising two adults and two grandchildren. Most recently, I was employed with a family with a 9 year old daughter. I worked three afternoons a week. I would pick her up at school in the unversity district , drive her home to Edmonds. Unless she had after school activity or tutoring, when home I would perpare a snack, look at her homework. At time she needed encouragement to complete her homework, I was able to help her with getting it done before dinner. One or two days a week she attended math toutering, one other days she would have swimming or gymantic. I would wait for her until her activity, and then return her home. Most evening i stays with her until 6 or 7 pm. If her parents were working late, I would prepare her dinner and hang out with her until her parents retiurned. If she was bored we would plays games or watch a parent approved show. At time I would be flexiable and stay later or changes schedules depends on the parents needs. vess she had an activiety she needed to attend. She had several extra the granddaughter full time nanny, from ages 6 months until she was 3. In addition to my life experiences with infants and children, part of my education, was courses in infant mental health and child development. I would like to share my calm, easygoing, nurturing grandmother personality with other families. After years of raising children, while living busy lives, I truly understand the need for a safe,secure and nurturing environment for children best development.
