I am a professional nanny living in Belltown but am willing to to travel around the metro area to care for children. During my days I am constantly taking kids to parks, gyms and community centers, play zones and walks: We read books, do art, sing songs and discover fun throngs kids love. I’ve taken children to the Ferris wheel, zoo, museums, the aquarium, Seattle City center and more. My background is completely different as I was in a high level stressful career and chose nannying and caregiving to change my life. I am CPR certified and first aid certified. In my past life I was a qualified OSHA trainer so I have a high focus on safety. During naps I am willing to cook, clean and handle pet needs. I’m a 23 year old Communication major from CU Boulder, originally from Centennial. I worked as a part time after-school aid in high school for ages 3-6, and then was a full time any for two summers for 3 awesome kiddos. In college, I worked internationally as an au pair in Spain, teaching English and supporting a local family, and later became a live-in nanny in London for a one- and three-year-old. These roles gave me hands-on experience with early childhood routines, developmental milestones, structure, and patience—while also teaching me adaptability, communication, and cultural sensitivity. I also have experience with seniors and caregiving environments. My mother is a hospice caregiver, so I grew up around senior care and understand the importance of compassion, dignity, and attentiveness when supporting older adults. In addition, I am extremely comfortable with pets and home care. I’m a former member of TrustedHousesitters and have traveled internationally caring for homes and animals, managing everything from daily routines and medications to long-term stays. Animals are a joy for me, and I treat every home and pet as if they were my own. Hi! My name is Emma, and I am currently a sophomore at Olympic College. I grew up as the second-oldest of 10 children, and taking care of kids has always been something I have loved and wanted to do. I started babysitting at 11 years old because many families found me responsible and able to handle household and childcare tasks efficiently. Now I am 18, and even though I have only had seven years of "official" childcare experience, I have been helping care for kids since around the age of five and have always wanted to help my mom in any way that I could. I have taken a childcare and a first aid/CPR class in the past. I believe that my experience of growing up with so many children has made me responsible, intuitive, empathetic, and attuned to the needs and emotions of a child. My responsibilities have included morning and evening routines, diaper changes, cooking, cleaning, driving to/from places, and putting children to bed. I have also been working for three years now cleaning homes in my area, mostly for the elderly who are unable to do it on their own. I also frequently pet-sit and house-sit, and have worked as a household assistant with projects, cleaning, running errands, etc.

I *love* kids, from the awesome, fun 2 year olds to the teenagers that just need an adult in the room to make sure they're being cool with their social media ... I'm your guy for that. :) I'm a 53 year old father of two daughters, 19 and 13. I'm just a tech guy affected by layoffs and looking to "fill some holes in my budget," and find helping with kids is a great way to do that. Watching after the kids is fun and I get to help out some parents that need a break/some assistance. I remember being in that position when my kids were younger: wanting to go out, needing to take care of something, and not having someone trusted and reliable to count on. I can be your go-to here. I also don't mind some light housekeeping like laundry and dishes. I know I'd love to come back to my place just a little bit nicer than it was when I went out ... or at least don't have to take care of the kids' and babysitter's dishes or that wet load left in the washer before you left :) I think you'll like working with me and feel comfortable you can trust me with your kiddos.
