Keira $17 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Keira. I’m a dependable, patient, and caring babysitter with real-life childcare experience as a mom to my four-year-old daughter. Being a parent has taught me a lot about patience, safety, and creating a fun and nurturing environment for kids. I truly enjoy spending time with children and keeping them engaged with activities like arts and crafts, reading, playing games, going on walks, or visiting the playground. I also understand the importance of quieter time for things like movies, books, or relaxing activities. I know how important it is for parents to trust the person caring for their child, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to make sure children feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their parents are away. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy helping families. I would love the opportunity to care for your child and support your family

Iva $22 per hour for 1 child

From a young age I have been interested in working with children. At birthdays, family gatherings, and holidays, I was always the one watching and playing with all of the younger kids. In high school, I began babysitting and made my first earnings by babysitting for a lovely family after school each day. More recently, I have been interested in child development and am studying psychology to understand the milestones of development and understand how children can be supported early on to enable their full potential and support their emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Most recently, I worked as an Enrichment teacher for a summer camp program. As such, I was responsible for a group of 25 kids and lead STEM based lessons and crafts. My position as a summer teacher has not only augmented my respect towards teachers, as I have understood how challenging it is to guide, observe, and mentor a cohort of kids, but it has also helped me build an invaluable set of skills. In my experiences, I’ve learned to be attentive, vigilant, patient, observant, and understanding. The emotional lives of children are just, if not more, complex than those of adults. They must face difficult and big emotions having only a limited set of skills to manage them. As such, I prioritize listening and respecting the feelings that children I work with have. What may seem trivial to the adult perspective may be much more significant for a younger mind. When facing challenges, I always start by listening. Most often, we just need to be heard. In addition to emotional safety, I also prioritize situational safety by always observing behavior and context as many things can be prevented when de-escalated early on. Caregiving is at the heart of every relationship as we all require someone to rely on. As a person, I am very sympathetic, understanding, welcoming, supportive, and reliable – all aspects that I’ve learned through my personal, professional, and academic experiences and believe are vital to proper caregiving.

Naomi $25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Seattle, WA

Hi my name is Naomi and I'm new to the Seattle area ! Originally from Spokane, I'm the middle child of 9 siblings, so I'm all too familiar with raising, watching, and caring for kids. There's nothing like the joy that children give and I am so eager to be a part of a family, since I sadly moved away for mine to pursue my career. I am a DJ and have DJed for about 5 years now doing a variety of different events. This profession keeps my days completely open and are waiting to be filled up ! I played college basketball and sports have always been an integral part of my life, I love to play, read, and learn; and indulge in anything creative. Whether it's music, drawing, painting, photography or fashion, my gravitation to the arts remains in my admiration for art and beauty in general. My goal for your children is to enhance their love for life and appreciation for what's around them through organic human interaction and care.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
