Hi :) my name is Sorin (they/them) and I’m a caregiver for kids, seniors, and pets and can help out with household chores as well. I have been working with people of many ages and abilities for over 6 years with a bachelors in social work. I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults (5-65) with mental health and behavioral issues; developmentally disabled and neurodivergent kids and teens (5+); and houseless young adults. I also have experience working with people of all different backgrounds, (cultural, non-English speaking, LGBTQ+, economical, etc.). Although I don’t have as much experience working with seniors it has been something that I’ve been interested in and know that I can succeed in. I also don’t have experience working with infants and toddlers but that is also something I feel confident in my ability to learn. I am a trusted, compassionate, understanding, and fun-loving caregiver. I strive to make anybody I work with feel seen and heard, I make sure what needs to be done gets done, and of course I make sure we have some fun along the way. With my background in working with neurodivergent kids as a behavior tech and in in-patient psych as a mental health specialist, I am very attentive to people’s needs and shifts in behaviors. I am able to read warning signs before situations escalate and if they do I know exactly what we need to do to become centered. My calming presence and attuned energy makes me a great choice as your loved one’s caregiver. Some other things about me: I love spending time with my loved ones whether that’s outside or doing a craft or watching a movie. I’ve been very into photography lately and doing photo shoots for friends. I love to cozy up at home with a book or my switch and tv show on. I love making music and listening to music. I also love spending time outside whether that’s swimming, hiking, camping or any other fun activities.

I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Relations and have been employed as a caregiver for many families over many years. I have cared various ages ranging from newborn to teen and have experience working with developmentally disabled children with autism, down's syndrome and an infant who was born at 23 weeks with both hearing and vision loss. As a Doula I've provided services to several expectant mothers and their families offering prenatal, birth, and postpartum assistance. I believe children thrive in an environment where each unique family's priorities and wishes are paramount maintaining a sense of consistency, stability, and security. In addition to caring for your children's daily needs including cooking, laundry, and housekeeping, I enjoy interacting in guided play and age appropriate activities to support learning and development for all ages. Playing blocks to learn counting, colors and shapes with a toddler is just as fun as helping a teenager prepare for their first public speaking assignment for English class.
