When I was 15 I started working at Strawberry Canyon Explorer Camp where I worked for 8 years teaching children ages 4-10. At camp I worked with kids one on one as well as in large groups. I've also spent years volunteering in local elementary schools. I love teaching and hope to be an elementary school teacher in a few years. I've primarily worked with kids ages 4-7 but have experience with older as well. I love bringing them outside and teaching them sports, as well as helping them with that tough math problem. In my free time I read a lot, especially comics, and dream about playing lacrosse again. Please note that I have no experience with children younger than 3. Hello my name is Evin! I am a graduate of San Francisco State University where I earned a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in youth work and out of school time as well as a Minor in Africana studies. I also have a Masters (MA) in Drama Therapy at CIIS. I have worked as a coordinator for different youth programs throughout the Bay for over 7 years now abd a program manager of youth programming for the last 4 years. A lot of the work I do centers on culture, healing, Mental Health, Restorative Justice, etc. I have been working with children for over a decade now. I started off babysitting for local families back in San Diego. Then it was more infant and toddler care. Right into college I worked in preschools for two years then went into summer and after school programs with school-age kids, and following that I was a camp counselor at a radical healing retreat with high school students. I now write curriculum for one of the summer programs I work for and after being a coordinator for both programs I am now a full time program manger. I am super into creativity and socio-emotional development along with education and safety. I pride my self in making children feel safe to learn and express themselves as well as discover who they are as individuals. I love supporting youth in all their endeavors and I truly have a natural understanding, patience, and connection with children.

My name is Rebecca, but just Becky's fine :) I earned my Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts (performance emphasis) from San Francisco State University with honors in 2015 and my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University just this year! I am about to start full time work as an associate marriage and family therapist. I had heard so many great things about Urban Sitter from friends, so I decided to join in on the fun in 2015! I worked for Urban Sitter from 2015 to 2023, everything from occasional to full time. Unfortunately I had to take a medical leave last year—but now I’m healthy, out of school and can’t wait to work with your kids again. It might not be my full time job anymore, but kids are the best reprieve from the stressors of my day job. I have experience with a wide age range, from kids as young as two weeks to as old as eleven years. I've worked with over 100 families by now, so I'm pretty well prepared for what's thrown my way! I'd say the age range I tend to work best with is infant to toddler--but that's not to say I don't enjoy working with kids older. Got a seven year old obsessed with Pokemon? Me too. I'm all for it.
