Because of this career path I’m choosing, I have sought after my CPR certification and an EMT certification. I’m certified by American Heart Association and certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, as well as the state of CA. I completed my EMT training at Citrus College. I am now working full-time as an EMT. I began babysitting when I was 11 years old, taking care of my little brother and any children belonging to family and friends. Not only have I babysat children, but I have coached and tutored them as well. I was previously employed by Jumpstart (AmeriCorps) to help teach preschool children in low income communities. Because of this, I took 2 child development courses and extensive training, which helped me to continue working with children through UrbanSitter since 2015. Side note: In my video, i accidentally said that I have experience with children between 2 and 3, but I have babysat children between the ages of 2 and 14. Hi, my name is Megan and I am currently working at a Daycare/Preschool setting. I have been working with infants and toddlers, I am offering childcare and preschool age care. I am also offering Household services (I can run errands no problem!) I love working with preschoolers, I have been doing it since I was 30 years old for a total of 8 years altogether. My responsibilities have included supervision of children, and doing crafts and coloring with them, putting them down for naps preparing snacks and lunches (per the school schedule) and assisting with the potty. My other experience has been with infants and toddlers following after the preschool age recently; which I follow their feeding schedules along with singing songs, playing with them, diaper changes on the hour, then putting them down for scheduled naps in infant’s cribs. I have received and completed my CPR/AED & First Aid training Certificate for Infants, toddlers and kids. I am not fond of really big dogs, but I am happy with working with families with medium size to small puppies or dogs in the home. I am not a cat person at all.
