Hello, Hola, Bonjour! My name is Sophia and I am a 33 years old childcare professional. My grandparents were from the Philippines and my grandma was from Staten Island, NY! With over 15 years of experience in childcare, including nannying, babysitting and work in preschool classrooms, I am passionate about creating a loving and nurturing environment for children. Currently, I work as a preschool teacher for a local school district. I have been working in a preschool setting for over 6 years and have been working with families as a nanny, babysitter and caregiver for over 15. I thrive on engaging children in a variety of activities, from outdoor adventures such as nature walks to creative pursuits such as building, painting and dramatic play. In the past six years I have recently been apart of synchronized skating and theater on ice teams where I went to both national and international competitions. My background as a figure skater and dancer allows me to bring creativity and movement into my interactions with kids. Helping the younger generation of figure skaters on ice fueled my interest in working with young children. In addition to my teaching experiences off ice I have been a figure skating coach at Snoopy's home ice for over 5 years. I have taught a variety of on ice programs including toddlers on ice, group classes and school programs to a variety of youth ages!
