I'm a warm, loving, energetic and young at heart childcare professional, and passionate about giving high-quality care. Besides free play, I create activities that are both fun and educational, and incorporate music and art into a child’s day. I cultivate a safe, warm, and comfortable environment in which children can learn, develop, and express themselves while also nurturing social skills. I’m experienced at establishing routines and setting rules and boundaries in a gentle manner, always using positive language. Before I became a childcare professional, I first had two children of my own, a girl and a boy, two years apart. Raising them has been my biggest endeavor and accomplishment so far. They are now in college. It was the passion of raising my own two children, and my desire to understand how I could best support them on their way to become well-rounded and successful adults, which inspired me to to study and earn a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and turn this passion into my profession.  During my 10yrs of working with children ranging in age from newborn to 9yrs old, I was as a nanny of an infant with a sibling, a group teacher of 25 kids, a care teacher for a pod of 4, including twins, and a co-teacher for 6 kids, 18mo-5yrs. These varied experiences with children, both in private homes and teaching in more formal preschool settings, as well as parenting, has equipped me with a unique blend of insights and skills, ideal for nurturing and educating children.  I particularly enjoy working with babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and have proven many times, that I am able to take care of multiple children at a time, whether they are twins, or siblings different ages. Additionally, I would like to stress, that I am not only fluent in English, but German and French as well, should you wish to expose your children to other languages.  Besides childcare I am happy to help with kid's laundry, keeping their rooms organized and clean, doing light housekeeping, cooking and baking, both healthy, child-friendly, and if desired vegetarian. In my private time I enjoy cooking nutritious and delicious recipes, including various dips, spreads and sugar-free treats, always adding to my little recipe repertoire for children. I also like to stay physically active with riding bike, pilates, swimming and dancing. I'm looking for additional babysitting 10am-3pm weekdays and weekday evenings from 7pm/7:15 on, with occasional weekends.

“I am so grateful to have found Claudia to help with my newborn during my postpartum recovery and solo parenting when my partner went back to work. She has been absolutely wonderful with my newborn, and I can’t recommend her enough. From the very first time she came, she made an effort to understand his needs, which made us feel at ease. She’s a calming presence, reliable, punctual, and always goes above and beyond to make sure my bebe is well taken care of while I get to take a break. What I appreciate most is her genuine connection with my child. She engages in a variety of activities during his wake windows and has techniques for soothing him to sleep. I’ve also noticed how attentive she is to his comfort and well-being, which gives me peace of mind. It’s clear that Claudia has a natural way with children, and I’m so thankful to have someone so trustworthy and caring looking after my son. I know he is in good hands, and that means everything to me as a parent. Highly recommend!”

Hi, I'm May, a 22 year old college student living on the upper west side of Manhattan. I have been babysitting since I was 12 and absolutely adore kids. I am experienced with children from newborns to elementary schoolers. I am super crafty and creative and can buckle down and help kids with serious work and school work. I love helping to unlock kids' imaginations and intellectual sides as well. Your kids will never be bored with me and I can always find something to do that is productive. I love cooking and baking and have been doing both since I can remember so I have quite a few creative snack ideas up my sleeve. Again, I love spending time with kids and I absolutely love babies. I am CPR certified and Red Cross trained. Safety is my priority so I can assure that I am Covid-19 vaccinated. Feel free to reach out to me about anything! I can't wait to take care of your child!

“May babysat our twins. Our girls loved the time together. May was great. ”

Hi! I’m Izzy and I am currently a senior at NYU, originally from Colorado. I am offering child care, pet care, and household services. I absolutely adore kids and would definitely be a teacher in another life. I use to spend my summers teaching theater camps in my hometown, and was well known in the babysitting community there. I am CPR certified and know how to be fully present with children. I am athletic and love playing outside. I am also a singer and can play musical instruments, which the kids quite enjoy (anything Disney has always been a crowd pleaser!). I love animals and am most comfortable with dogs and cats! I am very tidy and organized, and love to help around the house. I also have a drivers license if needed and can help running errands when necessary. I grew up in a big family, so I learned how to be helpful at a very young age :)

“Izzy has been babysitting for our family several times a week since April and she has been a godsend! While she primarily helps out with my 7 and 9 year old, she has also babysat my 3 year old on many occasions (and my 3 year never likes new people and somehow Izzy found a way to break in)! She is always on time and flexible (one time when my 7 year old was sent home sick, she came last min to help out). My girls absolutely adore her and my husband and I love her positive energy around our children. She is comfortable taking the kids around the city (walking/subways/ubers) and we trust her completely with our children. We honestly feel we hit the jackpot in finding Izzy. She has helped us out during the day and has quickly become our children’s favorite sitter to put them to bed as well. Highly recommend!”

Hello! A New York resident of 3+ years, I have recently pivoted from working a full time administrative job at a finance firm to doing freelance producing work in the New York theatre scene. I have always loved working with kids and have full confidence in my ability to provide high quality, creative, fun, and safe care for children. I recently renewed my CPR certification (2025) and have cared for children from 15 months to preteens. Happy to do light housework and cooking as well. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to chat!

“Eliza was a delight. She had a great manner with my 16 month old and was easy to work with.”
