Hi my name is Perla and I am a single mom that is going back to school to obtain a speech and language pathology certification. My bachelors degree is in child and adolescent development. I am pet friendly and have pets of my own and am excited to work with families while my kiddos are at school. My kiddos are 6 and 8 so I have plenty of first hand experience as well. I am calm, reserved and curious but I become a very bubbly, humorous and goofy person when you get to know me. I am nurturing and very sensitive to my environment, always cautious. I’ve worked at a day care and also as an au pair and would casually take babysitting gigs. I’ve worked with a varying group of ages but I’ve worked mostly with toddlers to preteens. I don’t mind working with pets as well as seniors.

In the past, I've taken the Red Cross Babysitting certification which breaks down the stages of child development. It also taught signs of emergency situations. I've also grown up with many cousins and was lucky to gain experience babysitting them at all ages. I've also had past experience in cat sitting which was very minimal (feeding, ensuring medication was taken, and cleaning litter). I believe I've gained more insight now that I live with two cats aged 1 and 3! I also spent a summer cleaning vacation rentals within an allotted three hour window with provided supplies. When it comes to cleaning, I pride myself in being very detailed oriented.
