During my gap year, I am taking an EMT class this summer to work in emergency medicine. I am interested in becoming a child psychiatrist. I have a strong passion for helping families feel supported and cared for. I have experience working in hospitals, so I am CPR and BLS certified. Hello, I’m Kayla! I’m 23 years old and I’ve always loved kids. I took the working with children elective while in high school and completed the 9 hour communication skills core of knowledge training as well as the 90 hour preschool course but I unfortunately no longer have the printed certificate (I am looking to see if my high school might still have a copy). I also majored in Early Childhood Education last year at HCC. I am a very creative and imaginative person and I find that it helps me to connect with children more. I don’t have much experience with seniors and my experience with pets revolve mainly around dogs, though I do know my way around with cats. For household services I do light cleaning. I like a clean area and I believe cleanliness aides in cultivating a peaceful state of mind. I am also CPR and first aid certified.
