Looking for a Dependable Family Assistant / Nanny for Two Great Boys (6 & 16) I’m looking for a warm, trustworthy, organized and dependable person to become a trusted part of our household. This is more than a traditional babysitting role—I’m hoping to find someone who can help with the kids AND keep our home/life running smoothly. Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 4–7 PM, plus occasional overnight care when I travel for work. Day-to-day responsibilities include: • Picking up my 6-year-old (driving is a must) • Homework/reading help and keeping both boys on task • Light cooking/meal prep • Making sure routines happen—homework, reading, daily meds, teeth brushed, bedtime, etc. • Helping the boys stay organized and responsible • Dishes, laundry, tidying, organizing and other light household tasks My boys are 6 and 16 and are sweet, loving kids. Like most kids, they may test boundaries with someone new! I’m looking for someone who is kind and loving but also confident, firm and consistent. When I’m away, you’re the adult in charge, and I need someone comfortable enforcing our household expectations while maintaining a positive, caring environment. Travel/overnights are an important part of the position. My work travel is inconsistent—sometimes 2 nights, sometimes 4–5—and occasionally a trip comes up on relatively short notice. During those trips, I need someone I completely trust to stay with the boys and manage the household/routines while I’m gone. Flexibility is therefore a big plus. I’d especially love someone who takes initiative and notices what needs to be done rather than needing a detailed list each day. Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable transportation. Strong communication, reliability and good judgment are very important to me. For the right person, I’m also open to a full-time/live-in arrangement if it’s a great fit for everyone.
