I’m a reliable and trustworthy mom from Castro Valley with a wonderful ninth-grader. I previously taught at a public school here in Castro Valley, and I hold an active California teaching credential for multiple subjects and special education. I love caring for children, tutoring, and would be happy to support a parent who is homeschooling. I have a clean California driver’s license, full insurance coverage, and I’m certified to drive for field trips at my son’s school.

Hello! My name is Rebecca, but just Becky's fine :) I earned my Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts (performance emphasis) from San Francisco State University with honors in 2015 and my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University just this year! I am about to start full time work as an associate marriage and family therapist. I had heard so many great things about Urban Sitter from friends, so I decided to join in on the fun in 2015! I worked for Urban Sitter from 2015 to 2023, everything from occasional to full time. Unfortunately I had to take a medical leave last year—but now I’m healthy, out of school and can’t wait to work with your kids again. It might not be my full time job anymore, but kids are the best reprieve from the stressors of my day job. I have experience with a wide age range, from kids as young as two weeks to as old as eleven years. I've worked with over 100 families by now, so I'm pretty well prepared for what's thrown my way! I'd say the age range I tend to work best with is infant to toddler--but that's not to say I don't enjoy working with kids older. Got a seven year old obsessed with Pokemon? Me too. I'm all for it. Can't wait to meet and hang out with your wonderful kids! Note: Due to ever increasing gas prices and bridge toll, please note that I will usually not travel to SF or across another bridge for a job less than $100 overall. This of course does not include any jobs I may apply to on the job board. There may be outliers to this rule (for example: if I’m already in SF that day), so it never hurts to message me and ask!

Greetings Everyone! My name is Genèvieve, I am a Rāja and Jivamukti Yoga Instructor, an Activist/Advocate Leader (policy/law), in human trafficking and Founder of a Women’s Outdoor Organization. I am hard-working, honest, dependable, accountable, educated, punctual, intelligent, mellow, fun, great communicator, thoughtful, can take initiative and have a pitch in attitude, loves outdoors, can be firm yet kind, likes to cook, love animals and do live a pretty healthy and active lifestyle. I maintain a positive outlook in life. I am a person who believes that everything in life matters. One of my greatest qualities is my connection with children. Children are little philosophers, they are bright, resilient and intelligent little people, they watch us closely and sense us on an energetic level. My focus in supporting their development is through activating their neurological brain chemistry and sensory mechanics. When we understand the function of these models, children can evolve through conscious evolution. It is enriching to teach important life skill practices to children. In addition, my connection with children come in a form of lovingness, friendliness, playfulness, creativity, and ensuring that I provide a safe environment where they can blossom, find their authentic self to freely express who they are and most importantly, that they trust me. With this wealth at hand, a healthy relationship is born. Personal Interests & Hobbies Yoga, Zazen, sauntering trails, camping, backpacking, paddle boarding, swimming, cooking, photography, road trips, documentary, dance, reading and love dogs and cats! Non-violent communication, conflict resolution in communities. Offering outdoor yoga women’s retreats. Educating myself in all my interest, most specially in writing a series of children’s book regarding neurological brain chemistry. With hope of publishing in the future. Certifications: CPR/First Aid/AED Certified. Clean driving record. Certified Yoga, Swimming and Rock Climbing Instructor. Covid, Tdap and Flue vaccinated. If you feel a connection, I would love to hear from you. Genèvieve T. Aka Ms. G Connection, Communication & Consistency.

I am fantastic at fabric paint, arts and crafts, etc. I like organizing, cleaning and cooking. Used to live on a farm growing up, there is no pet in your home that would intimidate me. * Special note: I am a living kidney donor to my friends son in 2013. I prefer not look after children who are very ill. If your child is running a fever, vomiting, or has just begun a raspy cough I would expect you pass me by; I will not show up to your home in this manner as well. Thank you for honoring my request. "If you want to touch the past, touch a rock. If you want to touch the present, touch a flower. If you want to touch the future, touch a life."

Hello, I’m Nancy and I love kids! I am a very reliable, safe, fun former high school teacher (20 + yrs) have also taught preschool and middle school. I’m excellent at caring for children of any age, and I have experience working with children who are neurodivergent. My own lovely daughter is now 23! I most enjoy being a babysitter so I can focus on one or two (or 3) children. I love doing fun and creative things with kids -art, building, dancing, playing games, reading etc. I bring optional art projects and books based on the interests of your child, but I like to follow their inclinations. They always come up with something so interesting. I like to nurture their inner creativity, imagination & sense of self sufficiency. I will follow the routine you set. I continue to work with the families who hired me on Urban Sitter offsite. I am always happy to FaceTime in advance. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi, my name is Vanessa. I am a full-time middle school teacher and I have baby-sat and nannied part-time over the last 20 years. I am CPR certified and registered with Trustline. I have worked in child care centers and preschools while employed with Child Care Careers. I was repeatedly asked to substitute at PalCare in Burlingame because I know how to care for and work with infants and toddlers. For a few months, I taught a Spanish class to Pre-K students for the Casita de Los Ninos program located at Village Park Preschool, Burlingame. From 2012 to 2013 I tutored 3rd and 4th grade students in reading with the program Reading Partners at Park Elementary School in San Mateo. In 2010 I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies and Spanish at Sonoma State University. I love working with children so much that I pursued my teaching credential at San Francisco State University and am currently teaching at Burlingame Intermediate School. I feel that children need to be engaged with art, language, math, science, and play! I'm a big fan of imaginative play, story time, drawing, play dough, and board games. If you're looking for a sitter who will do a lot more than put on a movie for your children, you've come to the right profile! :)

Hello! I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Child and Adolescent Development. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, which adds to my knowledge of children. I currently work for a public school district where I work with children that have special needs. Prior to that, I was a teacher at a private school. I have worked with a variety of ages, but primarily with 3-4 year olds for 5 years. I have worked as a nanny for two children for 5 years, while also babysitting for many years before this. When babysitting, I primarily have worked with school aged children, K-6th grade. I have had some experience with infant children under the age of 1 for about four years. I hope that I can be of assistance to you and your family. Thank you!
