Hi! I have a wealth of experience working with kids, mainly in a school setting. I've been an Elementary School Teacher for the last 10 years: including 5 years as a kindergarten teacher, experience in 1st grade, 3rd grade and even middle school. I've also been an art teacher for K-4 and taught adventure sports summer camps for 10-15yo. I'm also a father of two terrific girls, a grown 21yo and a 3yo toddler. That gives me lots of recent hands-on experience with infants and toddlers.
$30 per hour for 1 child
Originally from Santa Monica, I moved to San Francisco for school and received a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities at San Francisco State University. I have always got along well with children and began casually babysitting during the Pandemic. Having the opportunity to work with families in 2021 inspired me to begin my career as a Preschool Teacher. I began my education journey at Little Earthling's Forest School where I had the opportunity to learn some outdoor education. I then worked at La Scuola International School in their preschool location at Dogpatch. I was an assistant teacher and gained so much knowledge about the Reggio Emilia approach in education, gained experience working with a diverse group of children, and learned a bit of Italian as well. While teaching at La Scuola, I received my child development certification at Skyline Community College. After working at La Scuola for 3 years, I decided to back home to Los Angeles to be close to my family and newborn nephew and I'm currently teaching at Piper Preschool. It was at Piper where I had the privilege to collaborate and work with Speech Pathologists and I found my passion to become a Speech Therapist. I felt that I gained so much insight to be a better and happier person from children and being a teacher has been a rewarding and growing experience. It's bittersweet for me to pause my teaching career, however, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with families in the city and begin my journey getting my master's degree. Besides studying and taking care of children, I love hiking and taking long walks along the city. I also love to read and get into arts and crafts such as stamp printmaking, photography scrapbooking, and painting.

Although I have my degree, I am open for a long term nanny position. I have over 5 years of experience nannying experience with infant/toddler ages. Over 7 years in general babysitting ranging from ages 3mo-13 years. I love working with children of all ages but am mostly experienced with baby and toddler ages. Hi my name is Danielle when I was in high school I would volunteer at daycare/preschool and I would be in 6 month- 2-year-old classes. Which would typically involve managing their high energy levels, supporting their developmental milestones, and providing a safe and stimulating environment while understanding their unique communication methods. I also was a nanny for 1-year-old triples two years ago for more than a year but unfortunately I had to leave them when I started college. Working with infants and toddlers at a young age helped me go into college wanting to purse a path of Child Adolescence as my major.
Hi! My name is Ryann (they/them) and I recently graduated from SFSU with a Bachelors Degree in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in LGBTQ+ studies. I'm going back to school in the fall to start my Masters Program in Sexuality Studies. I am flexible, social, playful, a strong communicator, and I love working with kids, animals, and elderly folks. Throughout my life, I have babysat for many families with children of various ages, typically multiple children at the same time. My responsibilities included cooking and prepping food, helping with homework, cleaning, arts and crafts, and transportation to and from school. I frequently care for my friends' and neighbors' pets; dog walking, feeding the animals, refilling water bowls, overnight cat sitting, and offering various forms of enrichment. I am passionate about animals and providing the best quality of life for them. I have been volunteering at Openhouse, the LGBTQ+ senior center, since October every week and it has allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills around senior care. I have assisted disabled folks with everyday tasks, ranging from going to the grocery store to the emergency vet. I am patient, able bodied, accommodating, and quick to help out.
