I started coaching gymnastics when I was in highschool and have never quit teaching or caring for children since then. I began as a gymnastics and dance teacher and then started babysitting regularly while dancing professionally. I then became a teacher at a tutoring center that assisted neurodivergent children with school activities and development, I worked my way up to lead teacher and worked closely with a mentor to expand my knowledge in childhood development and teaching critical reading skills. When I moved to New York I became a part time nanny and began teaching gymnastics and dance again, in private studios. I also taught in afterschool programming for dance and gymnastics and theater. While in New York I have been the director's assistant for a children's music company, I have taught, and I have most recently been a full-time nanny. Hi! I have a wealth of experience working with kids, mainly in a school setting. I've been an Elementary School Teacher for the last 10 years: including 5 years as a kindergarten teacher, experience in 1st grade, 3rd grade and even middle school. Originally from Santa Monica, I moved to San Francisco for school and received a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities at San Francisco State University. I have always got along well with children and began casually babysitting during the Pandemic. It was at Piper where I had the privilege to collaborate and work with Speech Pathologists and I found my passion to become a Speech Therapist. I felt that I gained so much insight to be a better and happier person from children and being a teacher has been a rewarding and growing experience. It's bittersweet for me to pause my teaching career, however, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with families in the city and begin my journey getting my master's degree.
