Hey Parents! My name is Jessica and I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I graduated with a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been a babysitter/nanny off and on for the last 13 years. I have looked after newborns and children up to 14 years of age. I truly enjoy spending time with them and being apart of their development journeys. My responsibilities have included picking up/driving children, light child-related household duties, putting down for naps/bedtime (we love a nap routine!), cooking/preparing meals, feeding, helping with homework, reading, going out for walks, and of course general care and playtime! In my off time I have founded a nonprofit called Orísun Collective, and we host creative arts summer camps for kids in Nigeria. I would run the camp as well as teach the acting class. My hope is that all children will have the space and support to be their full selves and reach their full potential. I am a very goal-oriented person, and I know that I am capable of achieving every single thing I put my mind to. I have been hosting an event every 6 months for the last 10 years called Girls With Goals, where I bring a group of women together at my house and we talk about our goals, write them down, and keep each other accountable throughout the year. Everyone always leaves inspired and motivated to conquer their goals!

$29 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Roxy. I started babysitting more than a decade ago and have since held positions as a nanny, a childcare provider at a pilates studio, a substitute teacher, and a tutor both in-person at an under-resourced middle school and for distance-learning during COVID. I'm certified in pediatric first aid and CPR, comfortable with pets, and have a clean driving record. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are bake, read together, work on art projects, and get outside to the park or playground. I believe in instilling a sense of compassion, independence, and social justice in children from a young age by creating an environment where they feel loved, heard, and supported. I’m ideally looking for a full-time nanny position in New York but am also open to part-time and one-time jobs. Looking forward to meeting you and your little ones!

I am a former elementary school science teacher and a marine scientist. I've been working with kids for 22 years: both as a teacher and as a babysitter for family (7 nieces and nephews), friends (I'm "auntie" to many more), and a professional babysitting company. I love working with kids because I am one at heart and love to discover the world at their level. I love running around playing games, doing crafts, reading books, and I am a great homework helper. When I get some free time, I love to go kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling.

Hi there! I’m an undergraduate student at UT Austin studying Nutritional Sciences with a passion for working with children of all backgrounds and abilities. Having a twin with special needs has given me firsthand experience and deep understanding of the unique care and attention that children with special needs require. For the past five years, I’ve served as a leader, counselor, and caretaker for children ages 4-16, which has given me extensive experience managing different age groups and personalities. I also have significant experience caretaking for infants. My degree has provided me with vast knowledge on behaviors, feeding patterns, and developmental milestones of infants, giving me unique insight into proper infant care. As a pre-med student, I have clinical experience and medical skills that enhance my caregiving abilities. I’m trained to take vitals, use a glucometer, and provide basic medical assistance when needed. While I’m not a doctor, my pre-medical studies have given me a solid foundation in health monitoring and emergency response, making me comfortable caring for children with medical conditions or seniors requiring additional health support. My background in nutrition allows me to prepare healthy, delicious meals and snacks that kids actually enjoy, and I love involving them in cooking and baking activities that are both fun and educational. I’m also available for tutoring and homework help! I can assist with any subject for middle school and under, and I specialize in science tutoring for high school students. Whether it’s nightly reading sessions or tackling challenging assignments, I’m here to support academic success. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and would be happy to create a Spanish immersion environment for your children if interested. I understand how valuable early language exposure can be! I have a reliable car and travel between Houston and Austin in the summer. During school, I live in central Austin, so I’m flexible with location and can easily handle pickup and drop-off duties. I’m particularly available for weekend and late-night sitting when you need it most. What sets me apart is my combination of personal experience with special needs care, professional childcare background, nutrition expertise, medical training, academic support skills, and genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment. I’d love to meet your family and discuss how I can support your needs!
