Hello prospective families! My name is Chelsea. I pride myself on being dependable, responsible, and honest. I am looking for date night or occasional jobs that can fit into my schedule. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A. & M.P.P) and University of Michigan (MBA) and will start my full time job at the end of summer. For over four years I worked with children from newborn through four-year-olds in a children's ministry in addition to routinely babysitting for families including daycare pick-up/drop-off. I am CPR certified and completed a refresher course. As a preteen, I began watching children as a mother's morning helper and continued babysitting throughout graduate school. My background is in the arts, cheering, and dance. The summer before leaving for college I worked as a performing arts instructor teaching children between the ages of 4 to 14. I enjoy spending time with kids and finding creative activities to fill the time. If you are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible sitter, please reach out to me. *As I drive my car to jobs, please let me know what the available parking in your area is when you request a booking **Please note, I am unable to accept bookings if anyone in the household has been sick within the last 48 hours. For occasional babysitting jobs, I do charge for an in-person interview. Additionally, due to a peanut allergy, I am unable to prepare or feed children food with peanuts. I do charge a 50% fee for cancellations without a 24 hours notice. Thank you for your consideration.

I am a creative, caring, VERY energetic, physically fit, patient mom of 3 grown-up boys and “Super-Mima” to MANY Urban Sitter children 🎉🎊🎈I major in ACTIVE PLAY with children, engaging them in fun games and educational activities appropriate to their ages.... babies and toddlers too with whom I have extensive experience. I am also an art instructor for the developmentally disabled at Cedars of Marin and have a lifetime of familiarity with special needs children. Art projects, creating block or Magna-Tile castles, and building forts are all-time favorites with me and the kids! Puppets and “stuffy birthday parties” are big hits with 2-5 year olds🥳. 6-8 year olds excel in riddles & jokes and balloon battling.🎈9-12 year olds love tricky brain teasers, 20 Questions, and art projects. I was born in San Francisco & grew up in San Rafael. I went to UCLA with Art & History majors. Besides three sons, I have one fabulous grand-daughter, Zoe age 11 that I cared for extensively as a “high-needs” infant, and a 18 month old grandson 💝. I drive a 2017 Toyota Corolla and have a flexible schedule and am available for "date nights". I am willing to stay out late or overnight if needed. Please read my outstanding reviews. Children especially like me because I play WITH them. I bring an assortment of great books because just about ALL children love being read stories. Please note I have a background in senior companionship care with excellent local references + a CA Dept of Social Services Care Provider Bureau background check with CLEARANCE besides my Urban Sitters background check. I am also CPR / First Aid Certified updated every 2 years

Anne was fantastic! My skeptical 2-year-old immediately warmed up to her and there were no tears when we left. They played with chalk outside, smelled flowers, bounced a balloon around (that Anne brought)...and more! We'll definitely hire Anne again and recommend her to friends.

Hi. My name is Pamela and I have been a childcare provider for over 20 years. When I moved to the Bay Area in 1989, I worked at St. Johns Infant -Toddler Center. From there, I moved to working with preschoolers then finally, I got my teaching credential. I have been working with elementary school children in Oakland since 1993. I love spending time with kids. I make up weekend field trips with my students and dream of having my own weekend outing association for kids in the future. I enjoy taking kids to parks, making up crazy songs and stories and basically being creative. I always bring new, fun things for kids to engage with- clay, cool pop-up books, spinning toys... I feel very comfortable with children and it's mutual. I don't believe in plopping kids in front of a screen when I babysit. I engage them in fun activities and make sure they are never bored. I believe in eating healthy and try to support families if they have that same belief. Go out, have fun and know that your children are in competent hands!

I have been working with children for almost fourteen years, and was a Preschool Teacher for over five years. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development from SF State University. Prior to the covid-19 shutdown I worked as a teacher at Rockridge Little School in Piedmont for two years, where I worked with all ages groups (2-5 years) I also worked as a teacher at Claremont Day Nurseries Preschool in Kensington. I was a two year old teacher for one year, and then became a floater teacher for all the age groups (ages 2-5). Prior to this I started up an after-care organization with my mother in 2009 until 2012, where we took care of over nine children after-school per day, ages 6-10. On my work days I would spend the day playing with the kids, doing arts and crafts, providing homework help and overall enjoying the company of the children until the parents would come back from work. I love to do drawing/arts and crafts projects with the kids I take care of if possible, and really enjoy the creativity it brings out in each child. I have found my experiences with children to be both educational and heart-warming, and for those reasons have helped me develop as a person and I feel make me qualified to join the urban-sitter community.

Professional, fun, friendly, my kids loved her!
