Hello parents, I provide high-quality, attentive childcare with a calm, nurturing, and structured approach. I take pride in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel secure and well cared for. I have hands-on experience working with children and focus on maintaining routines, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting each child’s individual needs. I can assist with school routines, homework, enrichment activities, and bedtime, while ensuring a smooth and organized daily flow. In addition to childcare, I offer light household support, including meal prep, tidying, and organization, helping maintain a clean and stress-free home environment. I am comfortable with school pickups/drop-offs and driving, and prioritize safety, punctuality, and clear communication at all times. I’m known for being reliable, detail-oriented, and professional, while still warm and approachable with children. I adapt easily to different family dynamics and aim to build long-term trust with both parents and kids.

Hi there :) thank you for clicking on my profile! I’ve been working with kids for over 9 years now and I think I can say I've truly found my passion! I have a teaching background and I love to make my work meaningful and mindful, always making sure I’m present for my kids helping them grow and develop as beings. My teaching style leans more towards Waldorf and Montessori and I prefer to work for no screens families (even better if you don’t have TV at home). I’m from Brazil and I speak Portuguese and English fluently. I’m very responsible and proactive, I tend to fix things as I go instead of being asked to do it. I have a CPR certificate and First Aid Training. I play the ukulele and I’m also a certified Music Together teacher, I legit sing ALL THE TIME. If you’re into music we’ll definitely get along! I make sure to always have my ukulele with me for awesome dance parties and music time. I graduated as a Health Coach back in 2020 and I’m now studying Plant Based cuisine. I absolutely love cooking and will have the best time cooking healthy meals for your family and maybe even getting the kids involved in the mess! I also love baking so I might bring a cake to share every now and then! I’m a morning person and love to look at the bright side of things! So I think a big sum up of me would be a mix of music, health, good food and lots of happiness! I like to work for families that value the work I do and care about growing as individuals and learning together. Having a safe environment for open communication is very important to me! Thank you so much for reading my profile :) if you feel like we could be a good match please don’t hesitate to contact me! You can find more info on my cooking schedule on manuelalilliston.com/

Manuela brought such wonderful energy to our home and was immediately a natural with our kids. My 10 month old warmed up to her right away. She even prepped some food and left the house tidy. Would absolutely work with her again!

Hi. My name is Pamela and I have been a childcare provider for over 20 years. When I moved to the Bay Area in 1989, I worked at St. Johns Infant -Toddler Center. From there, I moved to working with preschoolers then finally, I got my teaching credential. I have been working with elementary school children in Oakland since 1993. I love spending time with kids. I make up weekend field trips with my students and dream of having my own weekend outing association for kids in the future. I enjoy taking kids to parks, making up crazy songs and stories and basically being creative. I always bring new, fun things for kids to engage with- clay, cool pop-up books, spinning toys... I feel very comfortable with children and it's mutual. I don't believe in plopping kids in front of a screen when I babysit. I engage them in fun activities and make sure they are never bored. I believe in eating healthy and try to support families if they have that same belief. Go out, have fun and know that your children are in competent hands!

As a recent graduate of UCSC and moved back to the Bay Area. I am passionate about working with children and have a strong background in educational and caregiving settings. I hold a CPR certification and am eager to continue learning and teaching. Growing up in a family of Montessori educators, I was deeply involved in the school my mother and sister worked at in Pacifica, volunteering and gaining hands-on experience. Over two years, I also worked with Mad Science of the Bay Area, leading after-school and summer programs for children ages 3-12. This experience included engaging activities and educational experiences to foster creativity and learning. Additionally, I have provided nanny care for multiple families, including caring for sets of twins and a family of four, where I was responsible for coordinating activities, preparing meals, and providing tutoring support. Since relocating from Santa Cruz County, I worked at Tara Redwood School as an assistant teacher, supporting children ages 2-9 in a variety of classroom settings. In addition, I have experience dog-sitting and house-sitting, providing a well-rounded skill set in both caregiving and home management. I am excited to continue applying my experience and nurturing qualities to help children grow and thrive.

We've worked with Crystal for a while now and, while I'm behind getting her review in, I can now speak with experience that she is wonderful to work with and very good with our three kids. They look forward to her coming and we feel totally at ease leaving them in her care. We're very grateful for her kind demeanor and thoughtful caretaking!
