Hello! My name is Hulya, and I am a caring, responsible, and dependable person who enjoys spending time with children. I am a former dentist, which has given me strong skills in patience, communication, attention to detail, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Throughout my life, I have had experience caring for children, starting with my younger brother. I helped take care of him when he was a baby and continued to support and look after him as he grew older. This experience taught me the importance of responsibility, empathy, and creating a nurturing atmosphere. Since moving to the United States, I have also been doing occasional babysitting for families in my community. Through these experiences, I have cared for children of different ages, helping with playtime, meals, homework, bedtime routines, and ensuring they feel comfortable and secure while their parents are away. I understand that every child is unique, and I strive to provide attentive, patient, and individualized care. My goal is to create a positive, safe, and engaging environment where children can have fun, learn, and feel supported. I would be honored to help your family and provide reliable childcare you can trust.
Hello. My name is Bridget and I am new to Urban Sitter although I am a lifelong caregiver. I’ve worked with all ages, including babies, children and seniors. I’ve worked in many different settings, including the mainstream Kindergarten and First grade as academic and classroom support, as well as a Paraeducator in special education supporting one specific student throughout their school day, ages 5-12. Both of these were at Elementary School level for the past 10 years, Also, I’ve worked many summers in the district campus daycare with babies aged newborn to two years old, as well as in the preschool with ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. I’ve also tutored middle school students, both mainstream and special needs, in the home setting during distance learning. Prior to this, I’ve worked in the theater and stage setting as an actress working with oral deaf children learning to use their voices with confidence and breath control. We used the stage as a tool for projection. These children were aged 4-12 years old, and I worked with them after school and on weekends, on and off, for years. Personally speaking, although I am a single mother of two young adults and one about to be, my earliest and greatest on the job experience came when I was 10 years old, and was older sibling to a to a one-year-old baby sister, and newborn baby brother. Real hands-on learning while carrying the most precious cargo. I would also like to add that I think and act in real time in every situation. Over the years I’ve had to utilize emergency life saving techniques five times, such as the Heimlich maneuver, and CPR, all with life-saving results. On one occasion even stabilizing a stroke victim while waiting for medical help to arrive. I take everything very seriously, but I also like to have fun. I love to make people laugh, and kids and the elderly love to laugh with me. I also housesit, do housecleaning, and pet care as needed. Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely.
My name is Nancy. I am the first born daughter of 8 children. I’ve been helping my mom take care of my siblings which have built the foundation of my profession. I’m currently a preschool teacher and have previous experience with being a substitute teacher for about 6 years. Through substituting, I was able to obtain a lot of my professional experience. I’ve been to a vast amount of daycares where I got to see and learn different learning styles in children as well as different approaches to learning and teaching children to achieve their milestones. I’ve been in a classroom where I’ve had to potty train and can say I was able to learn a few techniques. I’ve also been “long-term” in some sites where I was able to grow a bond with some of the children and celebrate their success. I do have a sibling with Asperger’s autism who is 15, so I have some experience with children on the spectrum.
hi - i am currently a student at santa monica college and i am offering child care as well as pet care services. I have always enjoyed babysitting and watching children. I love how their creative minds work and think. I find children to be an important part of society. Through every mess and mistake , i will be patient and gentle with them. Children respond well with kindness and being well understood. I would watch two children from time to time and they were four and seven. They enjoyed how i had interacted with them as i was constantly playing with them whether it was barbie or if we were mermaids in the ocean. When you are a child your mind will believe anything and i want to help be the magic in your childs life. I am a very sweet and kind individual who cares for all and is very empathetic I have had two pugs so i have some experience with caring with smaller dogs but larger dogs i do not have experience. I also am allergic to cats
I have been a high school English teacher for seven years, serving public and private school communities. I received my education in English Literature from Biola University, with specialized study at Oxford University, and attended Humboldt State University for my teaching credentialing program. While most of my teaching experience is with high school students, I have also been a care taker for younger children as well. Really, I just think all kids are pretty goofy and great! And as a teacher, getting to see their personalities come out and alive has been the best part of my job. I look forward to serving your family!
