Bridget $28 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Valley Village, CA

Hello. My name is Bridget and I am new to Urban Sitter although I am a lifelong caregiver. I’ve worked with all ages, including babies, children and seniors. I’ve worked in many different settings, including the mainstream Kindergarten and First grade as academic and classroom support, as well as a Paraeducator in special education supporting one specific student throughout their school day, ages 5-12. Both of these were at Elementary School level for the past 10 years, Also, I’ve worked many summers in the district campus daycare with babies aged newborn to two years old, as well as in the preschool with ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. I’ve also tutored middle school students, both mainstream and special needs, in the home setting during distance learning. Prior to this, I’ve worked in the theater and stage setting as an actress working with oral deaf children learning to use their voices with confidence and breath control. We used the stage as a tool for projection. These children were aged 4-12 years old, and I worked with them after school and on weekends, on and off, for years. Personally speaking, although I am a single mother of two young adults and one about to be, my earliest and greatest on the job experience came when I was 10 years old, and was older sibling to a to a one-year-old baby sister, and newborn baby brother. Real hands-on learning while carrying the most precious cargo. I would also like to add that I think and act in real time in every situation. Over the years I’ve had to utilize emergency life saving techniques five times, such as the Heimlich maneuver, and CPR, all with life-saving results. On one occasion even stabilizing a stroke victim while waiting for medical help to arrive. I take everything very seriously, but I also like to have fun. I love to make people laugh, and kids and the elderly love to laugh with me. I also housesit, do housecleaning, and pet care as needed. Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely.

Leah $18 per hour for 1 child

hi - i am currently a student at santa monica college and i am offering child care as well as pet care services. I have always enjoyed babysitting and watching children. I love how their creative minds work and think. I find children to be an important part of society. Through every mess and mistake , i will be patient and gentle with them. Children respond well with kindness and being well understood. I would watch two children from time to time and they were four and seven. They enjoyed how i had interacted with them as i was constantly playing with them whether it was barbie or if we were mermaids in the ocean. When you are a child your mind will believe anything and i want to help be the magic in your childs life. I am a very sweet and kind individual who cares for all and is very empathetic I have had two pugs so i have some experience with caring with smaller dogs but larger dogs i do not have experience. I also am allergic to cats

Julian $25 per hour for 1 child

I have been a high school English teacher for seven years, serving public and private school communities. I received my education in English Literature from Biola University, with specialized study at Oxford University, and attended Humboldt State University for my teaching credentialing program. While most of my teaching experience is with high school students, I have also been a care taker for younger children as well. Really, I just think all kids are pretty goofy and great! And as a teacher, getting to see their personalities come out and alive has been the best part of my job. I look forward to serving your family!

Cynthia 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

I’m Cynthia, and I’ve worked with kids for years in both creative and educational settings. I’ve taught acting and directed youth theater programs, so I’m very comfortable keeping kids engaged, entertained, and supported in a structured but fun way. I’m responsible, patient, and great at balancing playtime with safety and routines. I’m also CPR trained, experienced with different age groups, and confident handling everything from homework help to bedtime routines. I genuinely enjoy being around kids and creating an environment where they feel safe, heard, and excited to learn and play. I’d love to help out and make things easier for your family.

Cynthia is a great babysitter to my 10- and 13-year-old! She drives, cooks, helps with bedtime routines and a lot more. She cares deeply about my kids' well-being and is highly responsible. She is very attentive to our needs while also bringing her own, fun personality to the job. Always eager to go above and beyond, Cynthia has become a great addition to our family.

Autumn $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Autumn and I've recently returned to my hometown of Los Angeles. I'm very excited to reconnect with my roots and plant myself into a new life here. Since I was a valley girl, I've been caring for others. Whether it was my younger siblings (I come from a family of 7 kids) or the sweet family of 6 down the street, I started babysitting at the responsible age of 11! Years later I chose to be an au-pair in Germany to an infant and her 3 year old sister Luisa who filled my days with curiosity and wonder. Not long after returning to the states, I lived with a professional family of Berkeley, nannying for their 2 daughters aged 7 and 9. With both families I tutored, cooked, played games, crafted, offered transportation, advised, championed, provided recreational activities and sang lullabies. In-between these lines of work, I was also once a clown and balloon maker. I have assisted elders with tender care, errands, out of state relocation and aquatic exercise! (I recently became a lifeguard and certified swim instructor.) I am an extremely clean and organized person, a self-taught home chef, attended neurodivergent training and believe that human connection should always come first. I drive an all electric vehicle and have a clean driving history. I am the sole caretaker of 2 sweet cats but have also looked after friend's dogs in the past. As a child I had a pet mouse, snake, parakeet and hamster so I'm comfortable with all types! I pay close attention to detail, am excellent at anticipating needs and am a certified masseuse. I have much to offer individuals and families of all sizes. Being a caregiver is so much more than customer service as it requires sincere intuition and heart. One has to navigate personal needs while also being present of mind to consider safety, technicalities and timelines. I'm also experienced in home renovations should any minor repairs be required. Collectively, I possess the personal qualities, the particular skillset and the creative talents to care for animals, homes and humans of all ages. I look forward to connecting to see if we're a match!
