Hi, there! My name is Anita. I am currently a full time high school art teacher in Palo Alto. My works hours are between 9 AM and 4:30 PM, but I’m happy to help out with child care and pet care during the evenings (after 5PM) and weekends. I love working with young folks and have taught elementary school kids and high schoolers for eleven years now. I have also worked at Camp Galileo as a Lead Instructor for over three years. My fondness for teaching started when I was in high school when I used to assist in teaching children how to dance and through my high school's child development program where we taught elementary school students physical education. Growing up, my mother ran a day care at our house and being a babysitter brings me back to when I used to help her out with the kids. Regarding pets, I've had pets my whole life and a dog (whom I raised from a pup until his passing) and cat of my own. I'm very comfortable with animals and find that both kids and animals warm up to me easily. My responsibilities can include arts and crafts, homework, tutoring, helping with meals, getting the kids ready for bed, reading to the kids, and playing. I'm happy to assist with simple cooking, cleaning, school or extra curricular pick up (if my schedule allows) and running errands. Hi- My name is Susana, I have been around children my whole life since my mom did a lot of babysitting when I was younger. I had the opportunity to learn a lot of things from her such as supervising children, practicing good hygiene, and organizing age-appropriate activities. Over the last past three years, I have had the opportunity to care for children under the company name Jovie/ Bright Horizon. Working with multiple families throughout my babysitting experience has deepened my passion for understanding child development. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Biology, B.S. but I was a transfer student from Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. Growing up, i played basketball, volleyball and swimming. I swam collegiately for 2 years. I have been babysitting for over 13 years and have had a wide range of experience. I have babysat children from the ages of 3 months until 12 years old and have taken on a variety of different tasks with families. I have helped with homework, bed time routines, mommy’s helper (including dishes, organizing, floor cleaning, etc), and so much more. I currently work full time at Stanford University for the Department of Emergency Medicine as a Project Manager for both Strategy and DEI. I am currently working in a TK classroom at an elementary school in Santa Clara. I also go to school full time. I would like to pick up some occasional babysitting hours in the evenings and on weekends. I have always enjoyed working with children and their families. I have past experience with all ages, infant through school age. My job titles included babysitter, teacher' s aide, teacher and center director. I began babysitting for family friends in high school and later moved on to child care center based positions.
