Hi, I’m Gracie! I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology (ADP). Through the ADP minor, I completed 26 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework that meet the requirements for the California Child Development Permit (Site Supervisor level). I’m now preparing to apply to a master’s program in Occupational Therapy. I currently support three families, caring for children from 3 months to 12 years old. I completed a nine-month internship at an early childhood education center working with toddlers (18-36 months) and have babysat school-aged children, volunteered at elementary schools for over eight years, and mentored high school students through the college application process. I love working with children and strive to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. I especially enjoy utilizing the outdoors and play-based activities to foster child-initiated learning and help children build confidence and independence. Hi, my name is Nancy and I have been working with children ranging in age from 3 months to 15 years old for approximately 21 years . I have a Teacher permit through the state of California and an Associate in Science degree in the field of Early Childhood Education. Currently I provide early intervention services to children in their homes, working on any developmental delays they have. I coach parents on how to play with their child as part of their daily routine. In addition, I have a business as a special education advocate, helping parents through the IEP process. My child care experience began many years ago as a babysitter for families in my neighborhood. I have always enjoyed working with children and experiencing the joy of watching them grow, learn and explore the world around them. I worked as a nanny in Hawaii while also working as a youth development mentor at the Boys and Girls Club of Maui. My experience teaching at child care centers allowed me the opportunities to care for children as young as 3 months old, which included daily routines of diapering, feeding and napping, as well as reading, singing and soothing.
