"Savannah was very sweet playing with our infant. He was very happy taking a bottle from her, going on a walk, and reading a book."

Hello! It’s great to meet you ! I work as a substitute teacher during the school year but am looking for part time jobs during the summer season. I teach Kindergarten through twelfth grade and am very familiar and comfortable with that wide age range! Besides that, I have also worked in other school districts as an after school leader, where I was used to working one on one with students as well as leading large groups of kiddos as well. I have also nannied for a family with two babies, ages 2 1/2 and 9 months until I started working as a permanent substitute. I find kids’ energetic and kind personalities a joy to be around and I overall love working with kids for those reasons! I have a clean driving record and happily offer pickup and drop off from school if needed! I can offer school related assistance including homework help, arts and crafts, light tidying around the household, and anything else that I may be of help in. My priority is always to ensure that this is a great experience for both the family and children, as for me as a caretaker! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I will be more than happy to answer them! I am excited to meet you and potentially work with your family and little ones! I am fully vaccinated as well as have all of the boosters and am CPR Certified for all ages.
Hello, my name is Ashley. I am punctual, trustworthy, energetic, and patient. I am bilingual in Spanish and fluently speak it as well. I have been babysitting for neighbors since I was a teen. Now, my nanny families come from word of mouth. I have worked with children in various settings (as a tutor, therapist, & teacher's assistant). I enjoy spending time outdoors, doing crafts, and creative play. I have watched children as young as three weeks old and up to younger adults (with autism and intellectual disabilities). I have experience watching multiple children at a time. I have taken child development courses and am certified in Adult, Child, and Infant, Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid.
“Always kind, professional and great with the kids.”
Hello nice to meet You & Your Little Ones..or Big Ones (older children/special needs/adults)! I am a WEEKEND, DATE-NIGHT, OVERNIGHT, and HOTEL-CARE for Out-of-Towners SITTER!! I've been blessed to have had 36 repeat families since I started with Urbansitter, in September of 2017, and MORE THAN 90 BOOKINGS than what is stated here! I say that because I have had 10 LONG TERM BOOKINGS. I believe: Caring for children is the most fulfilling job next to caring for the elderly! Of which, I also have experience caring for the elderly, as a Certified Nurse Assistant for rehabilitation/psych facilities, Caregiver and Activity Director in Assisted Living. I apply the professional skills gained while having the privilege of working for the Early Childhood Program, at the Fontana Unified School District, in California. For 15 years, I was guided and trained by Behavior Specialist, School Psychologist, Counselors, and phenomenal experienced educators in the field of education and child development. For 10 years, I continued to develop my education in child development by continuing to be a student at Chaffey College. I'm providing this information to you, the loving parents, that when I am caring and working with your children I am using the knowledge I have been taught and trained while being an Assistant Teacher and continuing college student of such an awesome early childhood education program, as I was fortunate to be a part of, and in the study of Child Development. If there's certain practices as a teacher that we use that do not coincide or match your parenting skills please let me know so I may try to mirror your rearing preferences. But it is skills learned that are very effective in keeping children safe while in care in a school setting, that also transcends into home care while children are away from their parents. For example, if walking to the park the child stays walking side by side, or holding hands, not running far ahead in front of adult looking after the child as trying to arrive to the park, and rules are explained ahead of time. In our classroom we also had siblings to work with, which could be challenging, but at home it is different. I have had the privilege of caring for many siblings through Urbansitter! WORK EXPERIENCE: I have 25 years of working with children age 3 to Jr. High School, as a Bilingual Teacher Aide, and as a Special Ed. Early Childhood Teacher Aide- Preschool ages 3-5 years old. I also worked as a Respite Care Provider, for families with children who have special needs, caring for them in their homes. I worked in these two professions until February 2021. FYI - Long hours (8+ hours) are not a problem, as I am accustomed to working 12-hour days, as I was once a Certified Nurse Assistant(CNA). I do overnight care if needed, or 12+ hours, during the week as well. EDUCATION: In doing the LVN ladder program at my college, I earned a Medical-Surgical Nurse Assistant Vocational Certificate, from Chaffey College, in California, of which I am most proud of! Before earning that I became a Certified as a Nurse Assistant (CNA), allowing me to work in hospitals, psych facilities, and nursing registries. I am fully vaccinated, CPR & First Aid trained. As well as "LiveScanned"/fingerprinted, with the Dept. of Justice and the FBI, when I became a Respite Care Provider for Inland Respite Inc, in Riverside, CA. Also, I have earned an Associates of Arts degree, in Liberal Arts & Sciences, that allowed me to be employed for the school districts I had the pleasure of working with, for 25 years. I was working on finishing an Associates of Science Degree in Child Development, being just shy a few classes. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING: I have volunteered in a Cub Scout program in Fontana, CA. and in Ontario, California, as a Den Leader (even though my sons had moved onto Boy Scouts). I volunteer as a religious education Teacher for Elementary & High School age students. Currently I teach third grade students. I have volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America, as well as the Girls Scouts. I also served on the PTA board for several years. Currently, I am a Faith formation volunteer teacher at St Jude Catholic Church, in Mansfield, TX. NUTSHELL: As you can see, I do enjoy working with ALL children..at the end of the day it is a VERY REWARDING EXPERIENCE! Even though it could be a bit challenging for example: when caring for siblings who may not be accustomed to listening / following the direction of another adult, I am still up for the challenge:) But I would hope parents do speak to their children about respect for another adult coming into their home. PATIENCE, SAFETY & LOVE...my motto. PETS - I don't mind caring for your pets. I love them too. DRIVING - I don't mind providing transportation for your children, but please do consider compensating the service. INTERVIEWS - I will accept FaceTime interviews, only if necessary, but I am not tech savvy. Therefore, you're welcome to FaceTime me once we exchange numbers. Your patience is much appreciated with this task! FOR IN-PERSON interviews- I rarely experience requests for face to face interviews, but if one is needed - Compensation for time/gas/mileage may be required depending on your location. CANCELLATIONS- IF I AM IN ROUTE & YOU MUST CANCEL: PLEASE COMPENSATE MY TIME/GASOLINE, ONLY FAIR TO DO SO.
“She was great with the kids! Even helped clean up. ”
I have over 30 years of experience as a caregiver to children, pets and the elderly. I have been responsible for multiples, pick-ups, drop-offs, meals, homework help, bathing, bedtime and overnight stays. I am an animal lover so I am more than happy to help with pet sitting and care as well. I also have experience working with special needs children. I was previously an Intensive Behavior Instructional Assistant for the Garden Grove Unified School District for over 8 years. I have my AA in Social & Behavioral Science, Child & Adolescent Development and Psychology. ***My per child amount is always negotiable.
“Elizabeth helped me with my new puppy and old cranky pup and was very reliable. She communicated well, was on time and my pups were very happy when I got home. I would definitely use her again.”
Hello Urban Sitter families! My name is Hadie, I am a Registered Nurse who took a step back from my full-time bedside nursing career to be with my family and work as a Per diem Nurse. I joined Urban Sitter back in 2015, where I worked with several families and became a nanny to one family for 8 years. I am offering child care, pet care, and senior care services. I enjoy being a babysitter/caregiver and have cared for individuals of all ages, newborn to 100 years old, and all ages in between. I cook, clean, organize, drive, and do anything asked to the best of my ability. I love working with children and creating all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities, movie watching, singing and dancing, baking, sports, and even arts and crafts. I cannot wait to see what opportunities I get and the families I will meet. Thank you for your time! I'm currently not taking full-time jobs; however, I am interested in a part-time job if it is the right fit for both of us and scheduling. I would mostly love to help with date nights/occasional babysitting.
