Hello Parents:) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. I have tons of experience! 27+ years. I’ve worked in pediatric clinic, licensed daycare, teacher’s assistant, kids dance instructor. I’m a student in the health field, radiology is my goal. I am the 2nd to oldest out of 5 siblings. I started to babysit at a very young age. I flourished when I started to work with kids and it’s showed me to be patient, mature, energetic, engaging and to be tolerant. I help guide them in other afterschool programs, activities like art, reading, instruments, paint, language. I give them info to further their education and I even chat with parents if they need any guidance. No child is “too challenging”. Most are just misunderstood and just need a chance to be themselves. I worked for my local Health Department Clinics and Hospital for 22+ yrs. 27+yrs in child care, 10+yrs in a class room setting. Early Childhood Development credits! Fully vaccinated, CPR & First Aid trained👍🏻. I feel very comfortable responding to any medical emergency, medication administration, any disability, any level of health conditions, including behavioral. I have been a Travel Nanny and loved every minute of it. The one-on-one attention gave me a different perspective on how to support parents. I am a firm believer in Montessori Method. I like to be hands on, nature is my buddy, active, arts & crafts, music!, books, baking, help with homework/projects, biking/walking, any educational play is fun. Anything that helps inspire curiosity to discover & learn. I don’t shy away from bathing, forts, feedings, cleaning, mud puddles:), bed time stories, movies and of course a great Snuggle when needed. Hi! My name is Olivia and I am currently a full-time graduate student at California State University, Monterey Bay, studying Speech-Language Pathology with the goal of being a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for children with special needs. I am CPR-BLS certified and can provide you with my certificate! I have worked with children ranging from infants to teenagers for almost a decade! In the past five years, I have worked as a lead teacher for after-school group care at elementary schools throughout San Luis Obispo, and most recently as an assistant teacher at a special-needs preschool with children ages 2-5. Currently as I’m in school, I’ve been doing several babysitting jobs on the weekends through an agency that has a partnership with hotels in the area. Additionally, I have experience and a deep passion towards caring for children with special needs, including but not limited to the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, and other behavioral needs, as well as familiarity with children using augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC). Hi my name is Kari! I am a graduate student at CSUMB and a Navy veteran. I have always enjoyed fostering loving and fun environments for children starting when I was a Girl Scout camp counselor in my teens, to babysitting and nannying after my time in the Navy, until now after having my own son! Some of my favorite activities to do with children are arts / crafts, beach days, aquarium visits, gardening, library story times, etc! I am CPR and basic life support (for adults and infants) certified and recently took the recertification course. I have advanced knowledge of combat casualty care as well.
