Hi, my name is Megan! I graduated from CU Denver in 2021 and I love playing with kids! I have always loved spending time with kids of all ages and happily began babysitting at a young age. I also spent many hours volunteering with children at my church. Since those early years, I have been the occasional babysitter, the long-term nanny, and worked in childcare at a business. I'm looking to find a new nanny position as the children I have been caring for most recently are aging out of needing my help. I am very child-led when it comes to play and exploration, giving little ones a chance to control a bit of their world and dictate the things that interest them the most. But I also do my best to set a structure and routine to the day, with expectations for what will be occurring at different times, to give the children a sense of stability. One of my favorite things to do with kids is play pretend. I love helping them learn about their world and help them explore and use their imaginations. Hello! I have plenty experience with infants, toddlers, young children and pets. I have months of experience working with an infant who required oral meds for reflux and thrush. This caused her to rarely sleep (reflux woke her up) and was up every 30 min most nights. I am no stranger to holding babies while they nap (if needed and preferred by parents). I love engaging in play, learning games, etc. I believe in gentle but firm corrections. I do NOT believe in yelling or intimidation tactics and will not book with you if that is expected. Children need a safe space to grow and develop properly. As for pets I have years of expierence. I have a German shepherd myself who is trained. I have worked at doggie daycares/boarding facilities. I understand a fair amount of dog body language, how to break up fights (depending on size of both dogs), how to give meds, and can do some light training if needed. I also have expierence with cats, rabbits, ferrets, and rats. I can care for certain farm animals if they are friendly. My knowledge on reptiles/amphibians is very limited outside of frogs and turtles. I have my own house cleaning business and can work that in for a different rate depending on what is needed.
