We have a 2 year old English cream golden retriever named Willow and rescued an Australian Shepard mutt named Smudge from KC pet Project back in August last year. I work as an open heart surgical nurse and it’s the best job I’ve ever had. I love caring for others and that extends to my love for animals. I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up which has lead to a deep love for them. I spent many summers caring for neighbors home, animals, plants, ect. growing up when I would have a break from school. Hi! My name is saydee and I am super excited to meet new families and become a part of your family. I have my associates degree in early childhood development from JCCC. During my schooling I worked at a daycare in the infant room working with infants ages to 6 weeks to a year. I also experienced working in the toddler room which was ages 2-4. After graduating I became a nanny to 4 children, ages 3, 7, 8, and 11. I have worked there for 2 years. My tasks were daily chores such as dishes, laundry, and tidying up. I would make snacks, breakfast and lunch on a daily. My goal while I was a nanny was to bring everyone together to have fun and productive days. I would also encourage reading, practicing grammar, math, and learning letters and new numbers (for the youngest)! I love being creative and bringing new ideas into children's lives. Creating crafts is an excellent way to express creativity, and i've found that it feels rewarding to children. Originally from Kansas City, I have been living in NYC for 18 years. I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts in St. Louis, MO. Not only do I love spending time with kids - I also love performing for them. I have toured the country performing in the Dr. Seuss musical SEUSSICAL and I have also performed with Disney Cruise Line playing Mary Poppins, Mrs. Potts, The Fairy Godmother and more! I began babysitting when my little brother was born (I was 11) and I have been babysitting ever since! I adore kids and their outlook on life. They bring me so much joy. I am currently a nanny and do lots of baby sitting in the Kansas City area. I have experience as a full-time nanny for a 1.5 and 3 year old. I also have experience with newborns, babies and toddlers, as well as young kids and teenagers. I’ve taught gymnastics to all elementary school ages and have experience as a middle school/high school youth group leader. I have limited experience with children with autism. However, I have had good outcomes when I do watch them, and have taken to me well. I’m open minded and friendly. I also admire the small things we can learn from children as adults. I’m great with animals, so that’s never a problem, and I would love to dog/cat sit.
