Hi Families, I may be new to this app, but I am definitely not new to child care! I got my first job at a child care center in Rosemount when I was 16 years old working in the infant room. I worked there for a year and a half, then spent a year in the toddler room (changing more diapers than I could possibly count). I continued to work there while I was in college, and became the “lead teacher” of the preschool room! During this time I spent two summers nannying for a family that had two identical twin four year old boys, and an 8 year old girl two-three days a week. I also had countless babysitting jobs on the weekends! I eventually had to leave my kids at that day care when I was 20 years old because I got a job at the university of Minnesota’s Child Development Center working with the 4 and 5 year olds. I also was involved in a research project called Chicago Longitudinal Study promoting early education for low income neighborhoods around this same time. I graduated with a Developmental Psychology degree (also knows as Child Psychology) and began my Masters program in Clinical Social Work with a speciality in family and children. I now work at a elementary school in Hennepin county as the school therapist for the children! I’m looking to use my experience to make some extra money to pay off some of the student debt. I’ve always loved working with kids, and I have the experience and education to back it up! I have experience with all ages, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have! I’m willing to negotiate on pricing depending on the situation.
Hi! I am Alexandra. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Minnesota. I am studying elementary education and child development. I love working with kids! My dad is the youngest of nine, so babies and kids have always been a part of my life. For the past four summers, I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor with the City of St. Paul. Currently, I volunteer in the school at the Ronald McDonald House and in high school I was a volunteer tutor at a homeless shelter, so I have lots of experience with homework help! I am also a huge animal lover. I love doing arts and crafts, getting outside, and playing games with kids!
