After graduating college I spent a year in France teaching English to French high schoolers. Before doing that I was a reading tutor and baby sat for many wonderful families, including families with autistic and ADHD sons. I have also worked as a skills coach for developmentally disabled adults and feel comfortable working with kids of different ability levels. My motto as a caregiver is patients, compassion, and most importantly having fun will make everyone's experience great. I am also a professional baker and pastry cook, and love to cook for kids or with them! I've been living in Portland for about 5 years now and I love this beautiful city and all it has to offer. In my spare time I like to go biking with my boyfriend, go on hikes, sketch (mostly flowers and nature stuff), read, and write poetry. I also love superhero movies, cartoons, and photography. I do have a 2.5 year old boy (06/03/2021) who has come along with me since he was 8 weeks old. My schooling was completed in England, some 20+ years ago, where i completed my NNEB, since then I have worked for numerous families, both here and abroad. Being a nanny is something I enjoy. Guiding and helping children learn and grow through play is extremely rewarding, as is helping parents/families navigate the wonders of parenthood/ work/ life. I have great references. I am currently working for a family in Lake Oswego. These guys I have been working with for the last 16yrs. They have 3 children, who are now all school age.
