Hello! I'm Bec and I am a graduate of Northwestern University. I grew up in Seattle and returned to the PNW to get my MFA in creative writing; I now teach college English classes. I spent my years at Northwestern teaching drama classes in the Chicagoland area and working with Seesaw Theatre, an arts advocacy group that creates one-on-one sensory immersive theatre for kids with autism and other developmental disabilities (I then worked with a similar group in NYC for three years). I nannied for a crew of elementary schoolers, and eventually a toddler sibling as well, for four years. Between teaching drama classes, babysitting, nannying, teaching swim lessons, and working at a childcare center in high school, I have worked with kiddos from three months old to eighteen years old! In my free time I write, read, and make theatre.

Rebecca connected easily with my kiddo and I left them having a good conversation, which is primary for my autistic tween..We look forward to having them over again sometime soon

I have been working in the field of Occupational Therapy for 33 years, 17 of them in the schools with children with special needs. I have raised three children of my own and have 5 delightful Grandchildren. I like to plan fun age and developmentally appropriate activities to assist in developing self-esteem, creativity, self-expression, curiosity, character and compassion. I enjoy seeing and assisting children thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. My Grandchildren know that "Nana's" most important job is keeping them safe. I encourage children to problem solve and to communicate openly. Communication is key in all my relationships no matter the age. I was a life guard as a young adult, a Girl Scout leader and volunteered for outdoor adventure companies that work with the physically challenged population. I even taught adaptive PE for a term. I co-owned an organic farm CSA for 10 joyous years. We also made herbal products and sold them at the Farmer's Market. I am an animal lover as well so be assured that your pets will also receive attention. Some call me the dog or the cat-whisperer... (Side note: I am a petsitter as well). I don't watch much TV as there are too many other choices as my interests are numerous from backpacking, kayaking, traveling especially in the developing world, volunteering, spending time with animals, my family and friends and of course my Grandchildren, reading, music, the performing arts, skiing, crocheting, yoga, crafts, gardening and trying to make this world a little more kind, more fun, lighter... Life is to be celebrated as it is a gift to share and enjoy with others and possibly to make their life a bit easier along the way.

Susan was on time, respectful of both of my kids’ separate needs and came with activities and ideas to engage them. She drove my kids to OT appts daily and kept me updated about the information that was shared.

Hi! My name is Carol and I am a proud mother myself! I am a certified life coach with lots of flexibility in my schedule. Formerly a licensed court reporter and certified paralegal writing personal injury case summaries for a law publication. Have been sitting a long while and have loads of experience with infants. *CPR certified for all ages. *Allergic to cats Thanks for reading this. Look forward to meeting soon! Carol

I was in town for a conference staying at a hotel, so I Booked Carol for the day. She responded to my request fast. She arrived on time and stayed with my son for 10 hours. My son enjoyed her company. She was also kind enough to give me a discount for the sitting fee of the whole day. It was a right choice to pick her for me.

Hi I’m Andrea! I am 27 and currently live in the Portland area. I have been baby sitting for the past several years and really enjoy the time I get to spend with kids! I have worked with the tutoring agency Kumon when I was a student at PSU and tutored kids from ages 2-10. I am also very comfortable with animals and have grown up with pets since I was a little girl and love to spend time in the sun outside!

Andrea was so lovely, and my son had a great time with her!

Hi! I’m Bella, I’m 24 years old and currently completing school online to obtain my veterinary technician license, so I have a very flexible schedule this summer! I actually used this app quite a bit a few years back and loved the families and kids I met, so I found myself wanting to come back to it again :) I’ve been babysitting since I was 14 and have experience with kids of all ages. I’ve also coached soccer and helped with summer camps in the past, so I love keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun! I’m very hands-on and enjoy crafts, outside time, games, homework help, and following household routines closely. I’d describe myself as patient, dependable, fun, and responsible. I also have experience with pets from working in veterinary clinics, so I’m very comfortable around cats and dogs. I’m happy to help with driving to activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, tutoring/coaching, multiple children/pets, and occasional overnight care. I have reliable transportation and am comfortable with cameras in the home as well! :) I am excited to meet you and your family!!

Bella was very professional and reliable. My boys loved their time with her and had a lot of fun. Highly recommend her to everybody, and will be relying on her again for my future sitting needs.
