Hello all! My name is Krysta and I'm on the look out for a new family! I've been in childcare for almost 9 years and a private nanny for almost 7 years. I do have a 2.5 year old boy (06/03/2021) who has come along with me since he was 8 weeks old. Before I was a nanny I was a lead at a popular Portland based in-home daycare where I oversaw the care of 16 infants and 3 other workers. Our ratio was 4:1. I have experience with multiples and my last nanny share job was with 4 kiddos- a set of twins, a singleton and my own son, Theo. I love creating long term bonds with children along with their families as I see myself as an extension of them. Some of my skills are as follows: • CPR and first aid trained and in the ORO database, clean driving record with a safe and reliable car. • Supporting children in play activities, meals and snacks, hygiene and socialization. • Assisting with light housekeeping duties as well as running errands. Organization and cleaning up the home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play rooms. • Building positive and nurturing environments to support child's social and emotional growth. • Preparing tasty and healthy meals for children to encourage good eating habits. • Engaging with children on an age-appropriate level. My schooling was completed in England, some 20+ years ago, where i completed my NNEB, since then I have worked for numerous families, both here and abroad. Being a nanny is something I enjoy. Guiding and helping children learn and grow through play is extremely rewarding, as is helping parents/families navigate the wonders of parenthood/ work/ life. I have great references. I am currently working for a family in Lake Oswego. These guys I have been working with for the last 16yrs. They have 3 children, who are now all school age. I work all week day afternoons with them, and some school holidays. I am currently looking for temp/ part time work. I have weekday mornings available, some evenings, and weekends.
