My name is Roslyn, and I go by Roz for short. I have over 12 years of experience in childcare and hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification in Early Childhood Education. I currently provide nurturing childcare services that include age-appropriate learning activities, creative play, music and arts enrichment, storytelling, homework help, and tutoring support in a safe and encouraging environment. I also teach Spanish to toddlers and pre-K students with O’Neil Language Academy, where I introduce early language skills through songs, movement, and interactive lessons designed to keep young learners engaged. In addition, I offer tutoring services for children who need extra academic support, focusing on building confidence and foundational skills at their own pace. Outside of childcare and education, I am a freelance musician based in Nashville. I play saxophone and sing, and I enjoy incorporating music into learning whenever appropriate. My hobbies include baking, dancing, and learning new languages. I speak a little Spanish and am always eager to continue learning. I am creative, active, and truly enjoy teaching children while learning from them in return.
Hello my name is Ruth, born and raised in Florida but Now live in Tennessee. I've always had a big heart for children began babysitting at the age of 15. Today I work in the children's ministry at my church that has helped me obtain more experience to communicate and understand the need of each child. Feel free to ask any questions.
I am a highly experienced, compassionate and medically trained child care provider. I am passionate about creating fun and safe environments for children to thrive in. I have three children of my own, and have been working for a number of years teaching children and caring for them in their own homes. I am happy helping with household chores and pet care.
Hello! I am a nature-based early childhood educator. I recently moved to Nashville from California, where I worked as a lead teacher at Northeast Los Angeles Forest School for three years. I am originally from Wisconsin and have a deep love for the outdoors and the growing movement in education towards incorporating more opportunities for free play in nature. My work is informed and inspired by Reggio-Emilia and Montessori pedagogy, David Sobel, and Piaget. I am passionate about supporting children as they explore the wide world, and I enjoy finding engaging ways to facilitate happy, healthy development. I am a strong believer in the benefits of emergent curriculum and learning through play, and I have experience developing curriculum to support this. I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and I am currently working on an MS in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University with a speciality in child and adolescent development. During my senior year of college, I had an internship working at a respite center for children ages 6 and under with special needs, and had the opportunity to develop and implement individualized therapy programs for kids. Prior to this, I spent four years caring for children as young as six weeks and as old as twelve at a child care center in my home town in Wisconsin. It was there that I became a registered lead teacher with the Dept. of Children and Families. I have since taught at two preschools in Los Angeles, taken several continuing education courses and certifications, and conducted private care sessions for individuals and groups. I am Wilderness CPR certified, and I also have a valid license and experience transporting children. Currently, I am looking for part time work while I focus more intensely on my graduate degree. I am eager to finish the program both because I am an enthusiastic learner and so that I can move on to my next goal of starting my own forest school program here in Nashville. I am open to single family care or care-shares with friends, and I can offer academic support as well as creative ideas for engaging and developmentally beneficial activities.
