During the day, I am a senior in high school, and I am planning to attend college in the upcoming year. After school, I work at an aftercare at an elementary school four days a week, and have been working there for almost two years. Mainly, I work with kindergarten, but can range from K-5. I am also working at camp this summer. I love working with kids and doing crafts! I have my license, so I can able to drive around, at parents request/permission! I also love cats and fish, so I am able to care for both! More over, I can help kids with their math homework. I also have to be flexible with my schedule for school and work, so reach out to me about those kind of questions as well.

I have experience working with school age children age 5-13. I have experience with infants as well as toddlers. I also have my own child who is 8 years old and raised him mostly on my own since infancy. I also have 13 years experience working with the elderly in a home care setting. I have had pets before too and love animals so I love pet sitting as well. I currently live pet free, but don’t mind watching your lovely companion. I am CPR/First Aid certified as well as have my EEC certification and recent CORI check done. I also have experience working with special needs children that have autism and other disorders.

Hi families! My name is Astrid. I began my childcare journey at just 19 years old. I helped out as an assistant teacher in my mother Montessori daycare for 5 years. I then went on to be a career nanny with a 4 year gap starting in 2020 due to the pandemic. In my years of being a nanny, I have taken several college courses in child psychology and development. My approach to child care is heavily influenced by the Montessori philosophy, letting the child’s mind guide me into caring for them. I am currently a Special Education English Paraprofessional at Excel High teaching grades 9, 11, and 12 in the Special Education department. I am also a college graduate from UMass Boston with a bachelors in psychology. graduated previously from Bunker Hill Community College with 2 degrees; one is a certificate in Early Childhood Development/Education and the other is an Associate in Liberal Arts. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am also EEC Certified to teach infant, toddler and Preschool students as well as have 2 years experience teaching K-Prep (previously known as Pre-K) students. I started teaching in 2009 when I was still in high school teaching Pre-K kids so i have plenty of experience around that age group. I also have experience with preemies, have the knowledge and experience implementing Infant/toddler/preschool curriculum that support the child’s cognitive, social/emotional, language, fine and gross motor skill development. I have 2 dogs and a cat so I love animals! Proud fur mama! I have plenty of recommendation letters from other parents and families that I have helped raise from 8 week old infants to preschool and have taught their children available upon request.
