I worked primarily as a vocational counselor helping individuals with their careers whom have a disability, injury, or mental health condition. Hi! I'm Simone, and I'm excited to get back to working directly with families after a few years doing operations work in creative settings and at a nonprofit teaching STEM to kids in Portland. (Turns out I missed the hands on part!) I've got over a decade of experience with kids of all ages: nannying long term and watching kids grow from pre K through second grade, four years at the Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco, volunteering with children's library programming doing summer reading and fairs, substitute teaching at an outdoor preschool, and before that, helping out in a daycare. I love getting to know kids as individuals and figuring out what makes each person tick. I've worked with neurodivergent kids regularly and genuinely enjoy finding the best way to connect.
