Hello, my name is Jade and I work as a consulting environmental scientist in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Seattle and have worked as a babysitter in Seattle and The Bay Area. I have been caring for children on and off since I was a teenager, worked as a nanny and lifeguard through college, then later as an environmental educator and volunteer coordinator, and have maintained CPR/First Aid certification. I've worked as a "date night" sitter, as a nanny where my daily responsibilities included walking older children to school and caring for toddlers or infants during the work day, with parents either also working in the home or running errands, and as a to and from school driver. Hello! I'm Bec and I am a graduate of Northwestern University. I grew up in Seattle and returned to the PNW to get my MFA in creative writing; I now teach college English classes. I spent my years at Northwestern teaching drama classes in the Chicagoland area and working with Seesaw Theatre, an arts advocacy group that creates one-on-one sensory immersive theatre for kids with autism and other developmental disabilities (I then worked with a similar group in NYC for three years). I nannied for a crew of elementary schoolers, and eventually a toddler sibling as well, for four years. I’ve also worked as a DSP. Between teaching drama classes, babysitting, nannying, teaching swim lessons, and working at a childcare center in high school, I have worked with kiddos from three months old to eighteen years old! In my free time I write, read, and make theatre.
