I just moved to New York for a couple of months. During this time I would love to babysit. I have experience working as a camp counselor where I was responsible for groups of 10 children aged 3 to 5. I learned how to care for all ages and all profiles. I also have experience with babies, I have cared over the past few months for a baby (from when they were a 6 month old to now a 1 year old), caring for them during the day and completing their night time routine. Tasks I did: help with lunch, assure safety at all times, respect a tight schedule, be alert and observant of all children always, motivate children to do what they have to get done (eg. Drinking water, brushing teeth), play games and engage conversations, keep parents informed of any problems asap, … I have also done overnight babysitting for a regular family (multiple days/ nights without parents) and gotten children ready for bed & school in the morning. I am one of four siblings and have two younger brothers. Both of which I have spent a lot of time with and caring for, from diaper cleaning to helping with homework. Outside of my family, I have taken care of multiple children in New York, Paris, London and San Francisco. A non-exhaustive list of tasks I have done: walking with children from school to home, helping with homework, playing board games, waking up and getting ready for school, morning and evening hygiene tasks, putting children to bed, reading with them, outside walks to the park, planning cultural outings. In addition, I can do house cleaning tasks, prepare basic and healthy meals, and take care of cats. I am a french native and I can help with oral practice and homework. I have experience with family seniors that are physically impaired with general help and hygiene. Overall, I believe that every child is unique, special and has particular needs. I am respectful and responsible and will prioritise any tasks assigned. I have always been around young children and I love seeing them evolve.

Booked by 20 families in Albany, CA

My name is Lynda, I am 24 years old, and I have been working as a preschool teacher for the past 2 years. I am passionate about working with children and supporting their development in a safe and nurturing environment. I also studied midwifery, where I completed several internships that gave me hands-on experience with newborns and young children. This background has helped me build strong skills in childcare from an early age. I have cared for children in over 40 families, including 9 regular families that I worked with consistently. I also provided long-term care for one child for 1. 5 years, 4 days a week, building a strong and trusting relationship with both the child and the family. I am patient, caring, and responsible. I always make sure children feel safe, happy, and engaged by offering age-appropriate activities that support their creativity and independence. I would love the opportunity to care for your children and support your family's daily needs

Lynda was lovely, very professional and got our toddler to sleep without any issue!

Dear family : Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm Jenny (Yanli), a college student at UC Berkeley currently. It's the 10-year babysitting experience that taught me self-parenting and to stay curious about everything. It's fun to explore new things and keep learning. From this mindset, my journey started at Berkeley Adult School for basic English in 2016 as an au pair, and then Berkeley City College for psychology& cognitive science from 2[removed](part-time), and now at UC Berkeley for Philosophy of Mind (2024-2026). While I'm in school, it's the love from the kids and parents that inspires me to move forward and keep learning. Now, I come back to play with kids since I miss the nature of kids and have extra time in my last semester in 2026 spring. Having taught kids art, acrylic painting, and DIY paper craft through this 10-year journey, I'm eager to keep exploring the creativity kids naturally have. I used to be an au Pair in 2016-2017 after I got training in New Jersey for one week about babysitting, as well as a CPR certificate and a first aid certificate from the American Red Cross. Regarding personality and lifestyle, I'm a big fan of yoga, love art so much. I'd love to go to nature with kids, do yoga together, and visit museums. Happy to share what I'd like to do with kids: 1. It's my great pleasure to teach yoga to kids if kids are interested in it. ( I'm a certified 200-hour yoga instructor from Yoga Alliance) 2. Paper craft, including origami paper craft and DIY holiday cards. 3. Acrylic painting with kids. ( I'm a self-taught acrylic painter who sells my artwork in Berkeley) 4. Read and teach art education, for instance, warm color, cold color, and color wheels. ( I self-taught to be a UX designer) 5. Teach Mandarin and Chinese songs. More artwork, welcome to visit my personal artwork showcase, designed by me.[removed] Also share I have a valid CA driver's licence and good records. Currently, I'm looking for a part-time job. Thanks for reading. I can't wait to talk to you in person. How about starting a video call soon? Have a nice day!

Yanli looked after our 5-month-old daughter many times while we were living in Berkeley, and we felt incredibly lucky to have found her. After trying a few different sitters, Yanli stood out immediately. I have never seen a sitter give such undivided attention, warmth, and respect to the interests and intelligence of a baby. I trusted her right away and felt that she cared deeply about our daughter’s wellbeing and development. After just a few visits, our baby would smile and get excited when Yanli arrived. Yanli spoke to our baby in Mandarin, taught her songs, spent lots of time with her in nature, played music, and read many books with her. We also learned so much from Yanli, including gentle ways to put Naomi down without fussing. She is thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely gifted with babies. We would wholeheartedly recommend her.

I graduated with a degree in design, which has fueled my creativity and nurtured my ability to engage children in imaginative and enriching activities. With over five years of babysitting experience and a close-knit family dynamic, including caring for my three energetic nephews, I've honed my skills in fostering a safe, fun, and loving environment for kids. On a personal note, I'm an avid reader and nature enthusiast, and I love sharing my passions with curious young minds.

Liliana has taken care of our son multiple afternoons over the past couple of weeks and has been great to work with in all respects - flexible, patient, creative, and reliable. We would absolutely recommend her to other families and look forward to having her back!

Hello, I am a well seasoned nanny, with decades of childcare experience. I love children and delight in bringing ease and joy to family life. As a practicing Buddhist, the cultivation of kindness, compassion, composure, and the joy that arises in concert with these qualities, are integral to my well being and the care that I provide. As a young mother of two, I set aside a career path as a mechanical engineering professor in the field of mathematical fluid dynamics, and went on to homeschool my own four children, through Hearthstone Charter School, the Butte County home education program for which I was a founding board member, teaching countless other students and babysitting their younger siblings along the way. I have a researched understanding of child development and a variety of early childhood educational and parenting modalities. I truly enjoy being loving support to parents’ own philosophies. Well versed in RIE and Attachment Theory, specifically the emotional co-regulation that is foundational to Secure Attachment, I am inclined toward those aspects of Montessori and Waldorf education that foster authentic exploration and self mastery, and find respectful, holistic approaches to the care and education of children to be a natural extension of my Buddhist practice. I am particularly experienced with infants and toddlers, as well as gifted children of all ages, including those on the autism spectrum. I have found that a whole-child approach is essential to the care of children presenting with early signs of an IQ in the exceptionally (160-180) or profoundly (180+) gifted range. (I am happy to have a conversation on the topic of gifted children.) Here’s what the mom wrote on Berkeley Parent’s Network: "She has been taking care of our children for the last 4 years. She is truly incredible in a Mary Poppins-esque sort of way; very fit, from the Bay Area, raised 4 children herself, homeschooled them, phd in engineering, and chose childcare as a career later in life because she loves children. She has a warm personality and is amazing with the kids; creative, kind, receptive, respectful. She is also very smart and resourceful and can manage everything by herself, so if you want excellent childcare for your kids and not worry about anything, she is your gal." If you feel we may be compatible, let’s talk about your family’s needs and how I can help. All Good wishes, Mariah

So sweet and very reliable!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
