Greetings families! My name is Samantha but you all can call me Sam. I have been a career nanny for 10+ years. And have experience working with newborns, infant, toddlers, and older children all around. Plus, a background with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I am transitioning to being a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist. Currently in the process of becoming certified with DONA International by the end of 2023. Am mom to a pitbull mix doggo and a domestic short hair kitty. :)

Sam was wonderful! She was prompt, professional, an excellent communicator, and she was terrific with my young toddler. I had never had a sitter before so I was incredibly nervous but I felt immediately comfortable leaving my kid with Sam. She updated us via text to let us know how it was going. Sam listened closely to any instructions I left, and followed them closely and respectfully, and let me know each thing was clear and understood. She was terrific playing with my toddler and I'd be thrilled to book her in the future.

Hello parents, My name is Evelyn , I am a happy married woman and proud mom of two boys 20 and 24 years old looking and I’m looking for a long term full time nanny job. I have been working as a nanny for more than 25 years with kids as young as 2 months and up. I’ll be available to start with a new family/families in June 2026. I am bilingual Spanish-English, responsible, honest, loving, trustworthy, patient, CPR and first aid certified, also registered with Trustline. I’m up to date with all my vaccinations, including Covid. I have my own car, auto insurance, clean driving record, and excellent references from my previous jobs. I like to take kids to parks, zoo, walks, library and to any other place where they can have fun, explore and learn new things that will help them to grow. As a nanny, I always make sure kids under my care are safe, healthy and happy. Please let me know if you would like to know more about me and my experience. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Evelyn

There is no caregiver like Karina. She looked after my children and was like a part of our family for six years. She is helpful, reliable, so easy to be around and wonderfully kind, loving but appropriately firm with children. My kids still love her and talk about her often. Friends of mine would see her with our kids at music class or the park and remark how great she was with them. You will not find a better fit for your childcare needs!

Cared for newborns (preemies & twins) and infants to preschoolers! Families’ references include the words caring, nurturing, patient, honest, flexible, punctual and playful , with me being called “Aunty” by the little ones who easily adapt to and are comfortable with me. Keeping open communication about their day and evening activity with parents is a priority, while focusing on their safety and maintaining a clean environment with no distractions from electronics. Being available for sleep training and transitioning babies from breast/bottle to solid food are invaluable. Along with a keen awareness of developmental goals and providing age appropriate educational activities as little ones grow, are proven examples of an experienced, well educated caregiver who strives to maintain a calm, respectful and positive family structure.

Booked by 5 families in Berkeley, CA

Hi, I’m Dilan, an Ecuadorian architect and educator with experience in extracurricular activities; I’ve been working in the New School of SF with children for over five years. I lead a wide range of activities, including motor skill development, math, handwriting, and dance (I am a professional dancer and a member of a dance troupe Instagram: @chekumbe). I have worked with children with autism and anxiety; this experience has taught me how to understand them and view the world from a different perspective. I currently assist two families on a regular basis, handling cooking (I managed a family restaurant in Ecuador), deep cleaning the home (I am very meticulous about cleanliness), running errands, and childcare. I am physically capable of moving heavy objects and am an excellent "manny." I treat children with love and respect, and I am an animal lover: I have three dogs at home (one is 14 years old) and a rescued cat. I enjoy sports and have been living in the United States for a year and a half. I speak English (though I am still learning), Spanish is my native language, and I speak a little Portuguese. I am dedicated to teaching, fostering respect and tolerance, and building wonderful bonds with children. I also have crafting skills—such as sewing, macramé, knitting, and embroidery; you can check out my Instagram @smeraudes to see and buy the amazing things I create. I would love to meet you and help out in any way I can.

My name is Yonka and I am from Bulgaria. In my country I was a teacher for 20 years. Besides Bulgarian and English I speak Russian and a little bit French. Here I’m a babysitter/nanny/mother’s helper. I love kids, I have three grandchildren. My life is being surrounded with children. As a babysitter I follow the requirements the parents have. Strong communication is a must. With the little ones I go for a walk every day, to the library and parks, reed books, create stories, sing, do arts. I maintain the kid’s area clean and organized. It’s not a problem to do the laundry or load/unload the dishwasher. As a mother’s helper I clean, organize, do the dishes, including hand washing and laundry (fold and put clothes back, vacuuming.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
