Arody 2 reviews
$40 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Berkeley, CA

Hello! My name is Arody :) I’m a dedicated childcare professional with 10+ years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I value direct communication, reliability, and creating a safe, positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel supported. I’ve worked as a classroom teacher for 25+ students, developed bilingual lesson plans abroad for underprivileged children, and supported families with children of all ages, including those with special needs. Most recently, I have been the full-time nanny for a San Francisco family since their youngest was 6 months old (now 2 years and 2 months). I also care for his 6-year-old brother as needed, managing outings, schedules, and activities for both while ensuring their comfort and safety. I’m an experienced driver with a clean record and have safely operated multiple family vehicles over the past five years. I’m looking to connect with a family who values clear communication, honest feedback, warmth, and professionalism. My goal is to work in true partnership with the family, and I hope that a collaborative, team oriented dynamic is a shared priority. If you feel we may be a good fit, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and determine whether we’d be a strong match! Warmly, Arody

Arody nannied for us for a little over a year and half starting when our son was almost 6 months. She has a lovely demeanor and bonded almost immediately with our son. She was proactive about finding activities for him and keeping him entertained in a developmentally appropriate manner. She was also great about prepping snacks and meals and tidying up as needed. Our older son has a bit more of a challenging personality and she was great about setting boundaries but still showing him how to communicate with love and respect. We loved our time with Arody!

Wren 2 reviews
$35 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Wren I've been caregiving for pets, kiddos, people with social needs, and seniors my whole life! I started petsitting when I was 8 years old, and nannying when I was 11. I worked with seniors with dementia while in school to get my degree in social work, and worked as a full time social worker for years until I realized I prefer a varied schedule and hands on caregiving. I am very artistic and creative and love doing art with kids or special needs adults. I also love organizing and interior design to help make a space work for a persons individual needs. Thank you for considering me!

Wren has done a great job sitting for my two cats. I have one indoor and one outdoor and I always feel at ease leaving them in Wren's care. The cats have grown to love Wren, as well! I definitely recommend Wren as a reliable, thoughtful sitter.

Hello - my name is Angela, and I recently moved to the Bay from South Texas. I’m an experienced caregiver and educator with a background in youth programming, education, and nonprofit work. I’ve worked with children of all ages as a YMCA lead teacher, Parks and Recreation after-school counselor, culinary center teacher, and tutor over the past 10 years. I am an experienced Rover sitter and dog owner and am comfortable taking them on walks or hanging out with them in your home. $29 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 8 families in Berkeley, CA

Hi! My name is Alma I’m from France, and I speak French and a little English. I love spending time with children and helping them learn and grow every day. In France, I got my BAFA diploma, which is a certification to work with kids. I worked in a recreation center with children ages 3 to 8, where I organized fun activities like painting, outdoor games, and small theater shows. I also helped during snack time and made sure every child felt included and happy. I’ve done a lot of babysitting, from newborns to older kids. For example, I often take care of babies feeding them, changing diapers, and putting them to sleep and I enjoy helping toddlers discover new things through songs, stories, and play. I’m calm, patient, and responsible, but I also bring a lot of energy and creativity. I love reading stories, doing crafts, cooking simple meals, or going to the park. I can also help with light cleaning or organizing around the house if needed. I’m passionate about creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for every child I care for. Parents describe me as reliable, kind, and always smiling. I would be happy to meet your family and give your children the best care possible

She was super great for my kid ! She even helped build her little train set ! And by the time I got back from my little mommy time alone . She was asleep ! She did so great! Would recommend her 100%

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
