Lol) I am a 30 year-old alumna of California State University - Sacramento, where I earned a degree in Business Communications and Marketing with a minor in Africana studies. I come from a large Nigerian family and I’m the second of five children. Growing up, my mother, who is a labor and delivery nurse, taught me everything there is to know about infant and child care and development. I worked full-time as a professional nanny from 2020 to 2024. When I began with the family, they had a 3-month-old. During my tenure, I also cared for their second child who was born in 2023, raising both until my departure. I have a wealth of experience in babysitting my younger siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends. In addition, I have taught Sunday school and independently managed the children's day care at my church for almost nine years. Taking care of 5-10 children every Sunday ranging from newborns to 10 years old in age. During my time in college, I completed numerous child development and psychology courses. I also have a basic understanding of the Spanish language, having taken three years of it in high school. Hello families! I love working with children and am looking for babysitting opportunities with kids of any age! I enjoy spending time with kids doing crafts, reading stories at bedtime, and keeping them happy and safe. Some of my hobbies include photography, singing, knitting, and yoga. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University, where I studied psychology with an emphasis on child development. I have been babysitting since high school and have worked with many local families with kids ages 0-13. I was a tutor for a year at an after school program where I facilitated activities and helped the children with their homework. After graduating college I worked for a year and a half at a group home for kids (ages 6 to 18) who struggled with regulating themselves during stress. One summer I also worked at a pre-school prep where I interacted with kids ages 8 months to 3 years doing activities such as reading, singing, crafts, art and other activities. And then most recently I taught mindfulness for two years at Oakland Public Schools and have been substitute teaching for the past year. I was very active for many years on Urbansitter back when it first started from about 2012 to 2017 and then I took a long break from it to focus on other career goals. Now I’ve decided to make a return to it since I’m on summer break and am hoping to continue with it into the next school year as I plan to be part time with my regular job.
