*Fully vaccinated and boosted* Hi families! I am a professional nanny with 19+ years of child and pet care experience in the counties of Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz. I am CPR certified and First Aid trained. I have experience working with over 100 unique families with children ages newborn through teen. I am comfortable supporting many different styles and routines for meals, play, education, hygiene, and sleep. I have experience supporting sleep training; solid starting; practicing milestones (rolling, sitting, crawling, walking); language development, including baby signing and speech therapy exercises; and potty training (including elimination communication with infants). In working with older kids, I have provided before/after school care, transportation, and academic/life skills support. I have stayed overnight with kids; joined families as a vacation nanny; supervised groups of children at events; and comforted many children with separation anxiety. I am confident that I can handle any situation professionally & safely. My favorite things to do with kids are playing outside, reading books, and doing projects/crafts. I love when kids talk about their thoughts & ideas and express their creativity in the activities we do together. I am able to set & enforce appropriate boundaries with children while getting on their level to be a fun, playful, nurturing caregiver. I am a certified Yoga Teacher (RYS-200) and trained in Wilderness First Aid (WFA). I would be happy to facilitate experiences involving yoga/meditation/local outdoor exploration! I am open to pet care, household and other services (see below). I graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Science, Technology, and Society (STS). In addition to my child care experience, I have 6+ years experience in the real estate industry, including sustainability, accessibility, and rehab / retrofit projects. I have managed projects with budgets from $0-100MM+. I would be happy to discuss Consulting / Owner’s Representative / Project Management services for any residential/small business/interior design/landscaping projects. Additional Services - Organization/House Manager - Tutoring/Homework Help - Interview/Public Speaking Coaching - Private Yoga - Swim Lessons/Lifeguard Rates vary based on services - please send a message to discuss. Hello my name is Evin! I am a graduate of San Francisco State University where I earned a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in youth work and out of school time as well as a Minor in Africana studies. I also have a Masters (MA) in Drama Therapy at CIIS. I have worked as a coordinator for different youth programs throughout the Bay for over 7 years now abd a program manager of youth programming for the last 4 years. A lot of the work I do centers on culture, healing, Mental Health, Restorative Justice, etc. I have been working with children for over a decade now. I started off babysitting for local families back in San Diego. Then it was more infant and toddler care. Right into college I worked in preschools for two years then went into summer and after school programs with school-age kids, and following that I was a camp counselor at a radical healing retreat with high school students. I now write curriculum for one of the summer programs I work for and after being a coordinator for both programs I am now a full time program manger. I am super into creativity and socio-emotional development along with education and safety. I pride my self in making children feel safe to learn and express themselves as well as discover who they are as individuals. I love supporting youth in all their endeavors and I truly have a natural understanding, patience, and connection with children.

Evin really helped us out on short notice when our scheduled sitter bailed on us at the very last minute. From the moment she came over she was super friendly, professional and did a great job making our little one feel comfortable. Our son really enjoyed his time with her and I would highly recommend her to anyone using Urbansitter. Thanks Evin for your help!

Hello families! I love working with children and am looking for babysitting opportunities with kids of any age! I enjoy spending time with kids doing crafts, reading stories at bedtime, and keeping them happy and safe. Some of my hobbies include photography, singing, knitting, and yoga. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University, where I studied psychology with an emphasis on child development. I have been babysitting since high school and have worked with many local families with kids ages 0-13. I was a tutor for a year at an after school program where I facilitated activities and helped the children with their homework. After graduating college I worked for a year and a half at a group home for kids (ages 6 to 18) who struggled with regulating themselves during stress. One summer I also worked at a pre-school prep where I interacted with kids ages 8 months to 3 years doing activities such as reading, singing, crafts, art and other activities. And then most recently I taught mindfulness for two years at Oakland Public Schools and have been substitute teaching for the past year. I was very active for many years on Urbansitter back when it first started from about 2012 to 2017 and then I took a long break from it to focus on other career goals. Now I’ve decided to make a return to it since I’m on summer break and am hoping to continue with it into the next school year as I plan to be part time with my regular job. I currently live in San Leandro and am willing to go to Oakland, Hayward, Castro Valley, San Francisco and Lafayette. I look forward to hearing from you! Sheena

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
