$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 79 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello parents! I have been working with children since I was 14. I have been a camp counselor, a swim instructor aide, a lifeguard and a nursery care provider. I have current CPR/AED and first aid training as well as infant and child CPR training. I have experience with children of all ages. I love spending time with kids because they are so much fun and have boundless energy. When I take care of kids I love to play games, do arts and crafts, or anything else that keeps them active! I am also available to help with pets, light household chores, or any other things as needed. In my spare time I love reading, music movies, and spending time with friends. :) Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Chloe is so good with my 5 month old baby and I have every confidence in her as a sitter. She is in-sync with the baby's needs and cues, and she seems to genuinely enjoy him, which is the most important factor for me. As another has stated, she makes observations about the baby's development and behavior, which shows her involvement and interest. And even when my baby was overtired and screaming and taking a whole hour to go down for his nap, Chloe was able to handle it in stride, knowing that it was "nobody's fault" but rather something that just goes along with caring for babies.. She is quick to respond via message and text, and she is punctual. I also appreciate her personality- she's direct, confident, and has a wry sense of humor, but not in an angry way. I'm looking forward to using her again.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 16 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi! My name is Elinor, and I’d love to connect with your family! I moved to Oakland two years ago and currently teach 7th grade. As the eldest of four kids, taking care of children has always been second nature to me—I started babysitting when I was 14 and haven't stopped since! While I love teaching during the school day, babysitting outside of school hours allows me to keep working with kids of all ages while helping me make ends meet. I'm open to all types of jobs and bring a ton of flexibility! During the school year, I'm mostly available for afterschool care and weekends, as well as during school breaks and holidays. I am also available for house sitting and pet sitting, both of which I have done many times over the years. I am fully open to traveling with families and doing overnight stay care as well. Beyond child care, I have a lot of experience with—and genuinely love—organizing. I'm always happy to jump in and help out with household chores, whether that's laundry, meal prep, or keeping things tidy and running smoothly. I hold a degree in History and Secondary Education from Grinnell College, along with CPR and First Aid certifications. Beyond standard babysitting, I teach 7th grade English and 8th grade math, so I am always happy to provide tutoring or homework help if your child needs extra support! Over the years, I've worked as a nanny, camp counselor, and swim instructor, so I’m comfortable with everything from driving to after-school activities and meal prep to organizing fun outdoor games and keeping kids engaged. I’d love to chat and see if I’d be a good fit for your family! Warmly, Elinor Hanley

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 60 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi, my name is Amber I graduated from Cal State East Bay. I majored in nursing. Now I am a Home health Nurse. I am 26 years old. I offer senior care and child services. I have been a caregiver for seniors for the past 5 years. I do companionship, bathing, feeding, appointments, grocery runs. I have been a nanny on and off for the past 6 years. I hope to work with kids in the near future in the medical field, so it’s been a great experience working with kids and just seeing how to react around them and how kids are and how patient we have to be when we are around them and they could teach you so many things and I love working with kids. I am a very outdoors person. I love hiking and I also love to read. I also speak 5 languages.

Ambar was amazing with my baby girl. She arrived earlier than scheduled time, was very professional and respectful. Baby was very calm and happy with Ambar. Throughout the time Ambar was singing to her, reading to her and playing with her. I would hire Ambar again in a heartbeat!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
