Edward San Francisco
$35 per hour for 1 child

I’m Edward, a French-native caregiver based in San Francisco with over four years of experience in childcare and tutoring. I’ve worked both as a full-time live-in au pair and as a tutor, supporting children in building routines, staying focused with schoolwork, and growing their confidence. I’m known for being calm, patient, and structured, while still bringing positive energy and creativity into daily activities. I really enjoy creating a stable, supportive environment where children feel comfortable, engaged, and encouraged to be independent. I’ve mainly worked with school-age children, but I’m comfortable with a wide range of ages and different personalities. Being bilingual in French and English, I can also naturally introduce language exposure through everyday conversations, games, and activities. I love incorporating outdoor time, creative play, and learning moments into the day, whether that’s helping with homework, going to the park, or organizing simple activities at home. I’m very reliable and organized, with experience managing full daily routines including school pickups, meals, activities, and bedtime. I also have a clean driving record and am comfortable with transportation and outings. Overall, I aim to be someone families can truly rely on! both for the children’s well-being and for creating a smooth, positive daily rhythm at home.

Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

I am an empathetic, responsible, organized, and driven female-identifying individual who has a long history of caring for pets and children of all ages. I took my first babysitting and CPR certification class in middle school and have been helping families care for their children and pets ever since. I have worked with children of all ages, ranging from 0 years old to 14 years old for both short and longer periods of time. Additionally, I have cared for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and chickens, and have house sat for several different families. I am college educated with a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis and I live in San Francisco full time. Please feel free to ask me anything about my qualifications, personality, or experience. I am new to the UrbanSitter platform, which is why I do not have reviews, but would be happy to provide external references for families I have worked with if you are interested. I look forward to working with you!

Emma was a huge help around the house, would definitely recommend!

Summer San Francisco
$30 per hour for 1 child

I am writing to you with interest in becoming a full time nanny for your family. I am taking a leap of faith and trying something new after being a teacher for 8 years, in hopes that I will feel more passionate about my job. Throughout these years I have worked with children aged between 2 and 18, and have had at least two years of experience with each age group. One of my favorite things about being a teacher was the personal bonds I created with my students, and I am excited to be a nanny so that I can focus my skills and bonds with a smaller audience of 1-3 children rather than a whole classroom of 20+ students. I have been working with children since 2017, and have been a credentialed high school Art Teacher since 2023. I was highly successful– I was promoted to the Visual and Performing Arts Department Head in 2024, made substantial improvements to my classroom space after some neglect from previous teachers, and was one of the most popular weekly Flex Time Club host teachers. I also constantly sought out ways to improve my skills. I started learning Spanish so I could better communicate with my international students, consistently watched YouTube videos of new art methods I could learn and then teach my students, and participated in an Induction program where a personal mentor trained me for two years to improve my teaching craft. If I become your family’s new full time nanny, I will be so excited to play with your children, take them to the park, do arts and crafts (and utilize my art teaching skills to help improve their art skills), encourage them to complete their homework and chores if they have any, and help out around the house. If your child is interested in art making, I am a great candidate to support this venture. I am very skilled in many crafts, from painting and drawing, to sewing and clothing design, to photo manipulation, to sculpture. I am also a very skilled home cook, and I cook advanced recipes that take about 90 minutes most nights at home. I specialize in hearty vegetarian recipes that are healthy, delicious, and filling. I am also very skilled with animals if you have any pets at home– in my teen years I volunteered at a cat shelter for 2 years and am now a dog mom to my Cavapoo named Sundae since 2022. I am also happy to help out around the house with cleaning, laundry, and any other random tasks that are needed. Lastly, I also have a car so that I can drive your children to activities, appointments, etc if needed.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
