Booked by 6 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello! I’m Gabriela, and I recently relocated to San Francisco after transitioning out of academia. With a background in life sciences and over 5 years of experience caring for children (including the past 3 years here in the US), I have developed a deep love for working with kids of all ages. Spending my time with children is incredibly rewarding, and I’m great at creating fun, personalized activities based on what each kid enjoys, ensuring they have a happy and engaging time. I truly enjoy creating a calm and nurturing environment where kids feel safe, happy, and supported. I’d be happy to help with anything that makes your day easier—whether it’s homework, school pick-ups and drop-offs, meal prep, or simply spending time with your little ones! I’m also a big animal lover, with two cats and years of experience caring for dogs. I’d be so excited to support your family and create a positive, loving environment for your children! :)

Gabriela was lovely and prompt. My boys had a great time with her!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

Hey there, my name is Yeinell (or Jay for short)! A bit about me: I was born in the Dominican Republic but spent most of my life in NY up until college. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley where I studied psychology and public policy. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old (not including being a full time big sis/eldest cousin). I have worked with toddlers for about 4 years and children from TK- 8th grade ages for about 7 years. Most of my work experience has involved caring for or learning to understand children; whether that is mentoring, teaching abroad, or conducting developmental psych research the past couple of years. I have in the past worked for a dog walking and cat sitting group where I honed my skills in the pet caretaking field. Currently, I work full time with Americorps at an elementary school in San Francisco managing behavioral issues/interventions, teaching the SEL Curriculum, and running the Mentoring For Success Program. I love hiking, snowboarding , BJJ , and meditation! I also love animals and have raised 2 kitties myself 🙂! I speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and love learning about new cultures. I have a passion for helping others and fostering a healthy environment for children to grow inside and outside of the home. I am available after school most days until late nights, and almost all weekends! If you have any questions about my availability or experience please do not hesitate to reach out, I am willing to accommodate!

Hello families, I'm excited to introduce myself as a caring and experienced caregiver and educator originally hailing from Brazil. Fluent in both Portuguese and English, my background as an English teacher in Brazil for over 8 years allowed me to not only refine my language skills but also develop effective communication with children and their parents. I am currently looking for a part time position to start soon. If you believe I could be a great fit for your family, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd be delighted to answer any questions you may have and discuss how I can provide the best care for your children.

Hi - my name is Sinead I am Irish and currently moved to San Francisco from New York. I have lived in the US for 9 years. While I am new to Urban Sitter I am not new to babysitting. I love being a babysitter and have been watching toddlers and kids since I was 15 years of age. I have worked with children from many different ages - infants up to teenagers. I am an auntie for five wonderful nieces and nephews so I understand how busy family life can get. Ive worked in many different industries over the years so I am no stranger to work as a household assistant and can cook, clean and run errands. I also happy to work with families that have animals.

Hello, I'm Kiara. I used to nanny using urban sitter years ago. I am currently in Nursing school and working on neonatal care. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and Neuroscience. I am also a Certified Phlebotomist. I used to be an ABA therapist. I am BLS certified for adults and children. I’m a kind, patient and fun person. I am responsible and love children. I nannied for years prior to working FT and going back to school. I helped raise my niece and nephew. I got rid of my car a couple of years ago (SF parking fees are too much) so I’m looking for more local jobs. If you have any questions please let me know!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
