$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Originally from Santa Monica, I moved to San Francisco for school and received a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities at San Francisco State University. I have always got along well with children and began casually babysitting during the Pandemic. Having the opportunity to work with families in 2021 inspired me to begin my career as a Preschool Teacher. I began my education journey at Little Earthling's Forest School where I had the opportunity to learn some outdoor education. I then worked at La Scuola International School in their preschool location at Dogpatch. I was an assistant teacher and gained so much knowledge about the Reggio Emilia approach in education, gained experience working with a diverse group of children, and learned a bit of Italian as well. While teaching at La Scuola, I received my child development certification at Skyline Community College. After working at La Scuola for 3 years, I decided to back home to Los Angeles to be close to my family and newborn nephew and I'm currently teaching at Piper Preschool. It was at Piper where I had the privilege to collaborate and work with Speech Pathologists and I found my passion to become a Speech Therapist. I felt that I gained so much insight to be a better and happier person from children and being a teacher has been a rewarding and growing experience. It's bittersweet for me to pause my teaching career, however, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with families in the city and begin my journey getting my master's degree. Besides studying and taking care of children, I love hiking and taking long walks along the city. I also love to read and get into arts and crafts such as stamp printmaking, photography scrapbooking, and painting.

Daria is bright, reliable, responsible and very engaging with kids. She's a good communicator, always arrived on time and clearly cares about doing a great job. She substituted for our nanny for a few weeks and we were thrilled. In fact, we've already booked her for another job.

hi! My name is Laura. I’m a Nanny with more than 3 years of certified experience with toddlers and kids 2+. I’m offering childcare, housesitting, household services, pet sitting or running any errands. Bilingual English and Spanish. Certified childhood development. I like outdoor activities like going to the playground or playing soccer. I also enjoy making arts and crafts, paintings, role play and I’m great at making fun ideas to create cool snacks. CPR certified.

Laura is great with our 13-month old, singing and reading to him. He eats well with Laura and she is very responsive over text during babysitting. I also appreciate that Laura is always on time and flexible to stay late if we ask!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
